Are there any mods that let you get elves and humans to migrate toy your fortress?

Nope, only way as through DFusion.

or you can create a caste of Elf and Human in the Dwarves then you can have the feeling of a multi race fortress

The downside of having multiple castes as races, is that you could have two dwarves give birth to an elf, or similar.

There is a new way to do this, using interactions.  You can have one race, used for dwarves, elves, goblins, and humans with body appearance details for what makes them different.
1  You set up interactions that target these details, add tags, and modify stats, like adding Immortality to elves and goblins.
2  Create materials that have syndromes applying the interaction to creatures.(I call it Ymir's flesh it actually has a mythological base)
3  Create a reaction that turns any meat into meat made of that material(or alcohol)
4  Give the Entities the reactions for there corresponding race...

And now you have races that can interbreed with each other, and if diplomats or traders spend enough time at your fort could have children.

Maybe that the dwarves never died and everyone is just shunning them.

Yes but that's a false multi-race fortress. It may appear that they are, but since you need them to be non-PET as well as MAIN RACE (I could be wrong since me and Meph have done alot of research into this subject, he did a seperate testing range then I have)

If PET can be removed from the creature you might have a chance of a multi-race fortress, but the reason why they need to eat/drink is the CAN_LEARN tag, and the naming is due to CAN_SPEAK in a sense all you need to do is add INTELLIGENT and Remove PET but lacking the PET tag you cannot trade/embark/tame the creature. You can however make a common caste of your creature that lacks the PET tag

PET MALE
PET FEMALE
give birth to
MALE/FEMALE INTELLIGENT

Meph created Broodmothers/lords that breed slaves, but I have no clue if you used a "Convert on birth to MAIN RACE" or he managed to get other races to perform labor.

How's this Convert on Birth to Main Race thing work, because the missing ingrediant from my "flesh of Ymir" is having the races inheritance continue after they've moved to another civ?  The converting of newcomers I call the "Weyland Process".

These are my old notes during a DOG to DWARF converstion test. It was great success, I could enable labors and they would work, and if they done something notable (mood artifact, masterwork item, kill a notable foe??) they could then be drafted ot the army.

Spoiler: Notes as in raws (click to show/hide)

Depending on how you are doing your type of conversion you can make it a Food/Drink and have [SYN_INGESTED] on the syndrome. Send me a PM if this is not helpful and I'll get back to you on the entire SCIENCE project I did for a few weeks to get these results.

That is very helpful, thank you!  I think that I can transfer it onto an interaction, since I'm changing the creature's appearance/stats and not it's creature/class.
