Dwarves with animal kills in worldgen make trophies; they're most likely to be seen on migrants who were hunters prior to migrating to your fort. You would only need to be concerned about vampirism if the trophies were made from sentients.

Once again, animal bone jewelry doesn't mean vampire. Animal bone jewelry and kill lists are products of historical figures being big game hunters. They make trophies of their kills.

Well, you don't wear earrings "on" your earlobes, you wear them "through" your earlobes. There is a part of the earring that is actually inside your earlobe in any case.

This.  There aren't a lot of vintage pierced earrings because a long time ago, it wasn't considered "ladylike" to have pierced ears.  It makes me wonder how they'd react to piercings nowadays lol.
