If there are twisty passages what will you do?

The same thing I do to all other obstacles: Destroy them with my lance. Or dismount and use my sling. Or let the rest of the party deal with it while I help with spells.

So we'll be leaving you behind?

Also, dwarven paladin for the extra redundance.

Morrissey Baird, Gnome Beguiler. Notice the irish name and chaotic evil alignment.

AC stuff.

I am unsure how you get 23 at level 2? Since I still only see 20.

10 (base)
2 (dex)
4 Exalted (VoP)
2 Natural (VoP)
2 Deflection (VoP)

Vow of Peace does not stack (well I mean it sorta does, but only in the strangest way possible.) and Gnomish battle cloak is still not allowed by a vow.

That said, that spell is pretty beastly.

So we'll be leaving you behind?

That's the opposite of what I said! A normal masonry wall has a hardness of 8 and 9 hitpoints per cubic foot. Harder walls aren't much better; hewn stone is the same hardness with only twice the HP. It's entirely plausable that I could defeat the geography via repeated application of lance.

While you're breaking individual cubic feet of the dungeon by repeated charges, the rest of the party will be adventuring.

I honestly don't expect that situation to come up. More realistically, I'll shine in some battles and do meh in others while someone else takes the spotlight. Which is how the game is supposed to work.

Gackt. That should be 17 => 21 => 30

As for the Gnomish Twist Cloak, I have no idea which vow prevents me from having a cloak. Vow of Nonviolence only stops you from using it as a weapon, and Vow of Poverty allows for basic clothing.

Gnomish battle cloak is a shield, which is not allowed by the Vow of Poverty.

Here's what it says.

1. You may have a weapon.
2. You may have plain clothes.
3. You may carry nonmagical items.
4. You must not hoard wealth, hand it out when you can.

It says nothing about shields.

No. It says you may not use magic items, not that you may carry nonmagic items. You can carry whatever the heck you want, so long as you do not use or own it.

It very specifically says you may own nothing but:

1: A Ordinary Simple weapon
2: Simple Clothing.
3: Enough food for you for one day.
4: A simple sack or bag for the food.
5: A spell component pouch.

It says nothing about shields. Which means they are automatically not allowed.

Oh. Also. You need a exotic shield proficiency feat to even use a Gnomish Battle Cloak. So. You know. You can't in two ways.

Character sheet updated to be more accurate to the setting.
Also, when are we doing this? On most days, I'm available from 3:25 PM-6:00 PM, 7:00 PM-8:30 PM, and 9:20 PM-1:00 AM, all in PST.

Weekends I can be available all day.

I do have a rather busy schedule, though. Wednesday I have a quick orthodontist appointment at 3:45 PM, and this weekend i have to travel.

Better now then during the game? I mean, it's all harmless 'fun' thrashing out builds in the thread, but when something like this comes up in game you ether ignore it (frustrating but the right option) or confront it (even more frustrating because it wastes game time and people should in theory know the rules they are planning on using before a game.)

I wouldn't call this arguing, more conversing.

And yeah, he's right.  If we get all the details sorted out beforehand, we don't have to worry about them in game.

Oh really? I thought that just meant I took some additional penalties on attack and movement-related skill rolls. If we're going to be talking semantics here, the cloak is not a shield, it grants a shield bonus. It is a cloak that grants a shield bonus, which I would say is substantially different from a shield that you use for shielding.

However, you reminded me of a question for Cthulhu: Are we tracking food/drink and whatnot? I wouldn't imagine so, but you never know.
