The human *somename* has come!
« on: March 10, 2012, 08:52:31 am »

A creature prone to great ambition!

Seems like a were-human tried to sneak into my fort and got captured by a cage trap... Time for science? What to do with it?

A creature prone to great ambition!

Subject him to the human rat-race, wait for him to grow old, then laugh at his regret.

3. ???

Sheep will knock you over a cliff if you give them half a chance.

Anything that can regenerate and clone itself is awesome.  Being able to kick in skulls is a bonus.

how about getting this were-sheep human going in an underground chamber, dropping in goblin ambushes and the like and re-catch them with cage traps? will I get more of them?

Two conditions need to be satisfied for the goblins to become weresheep:  they need to be bitten by your current weresheep, and they need to survive the attack.  It also helps if they don't kill your weresheep, because the process is only repeatable if you've still got a living weresheep.  You should probably disarm the goblins, and give them an escape route (lined with cage traps, to recapture them), before subjecting them to weresheep attack.

Be very careful handling your werebeasts.  Fail to quarantine one infected militia member, and suddenly you've got an epidemic on your hands.

Overall, I think that werebeasts aren't great for weaponizing, but *might* have some potential for dwarven medical science- since a dwarf rendered useless by lack of arms can be rejuvenated by a werebeast transformation.
