I'm still not convinced that the old Kony campaign was evil-intentioned so much as hugely misguided. Still, this lawsuit against legitimate parody is stupid and tactless, and is winning them neither respect nor any friends.

I see their behavior as the reaction of individuals and/or an organization that wanted to do well, but got shot down horribly. Rather than admit their stupidity and/or change tack, they're now blindly lashing out at those that shamed them out of anger and frustration, only isolating themselves further.

It doesn't make me angry so much as sad.

Half the reason I started this thread was because I was wondering if they were just misguided, or evil beings that wish to suck my money.

They started a viral campaign (yellow flag), fed off of an outdated issue with an old "save the Africans" line (red flag), sold five dollar "Action kits" to people (huge red flag), haven't ever been audited (huge red flag on fire and billowing smoke), and spend a third of their money on private flights all around the planet. That last one isn't even a flag at all, it's just plain evidence.

This is not even taking into consideration how spectacularly it all exploded when people figured them out almost immediately, which wouldn't be very likely in a simple misunderstanding.
