Just genned my .05 test world, and...

elves are extinct.

Scratch that. According to legends, they never existed here in the first place...

It would be fine if the new taming system was released, because I wouldn't need to rely on them as much for my special species, but right now the only good thing that comes from it is that I won't need to worry about making wooden crafts.

Worry is a strong term. It's more accurate to say that I "never decided to go to war with elves, simply because I'm still working out the details of the military system."
