Spider silk conducts heat as well as metals

Struggling to think how this would be useful in a fort but we have spider silk, metals and heat so there should be some kind of bizarre scheme that someone can come up with.

Mod GCS silk as a material to make cages i.e. net traps. Suspend elves science participants over a magma source, dump water and see the contents steam cooked like a wok basket!!
