Pre-Game Introduction

The first game is this Monday, at 9 AM Central Standard Time (3 PM GMT).  If you haven't already, please send me your character sheet and backstory!  If you have any special requests or plans for your character, anything from hopes of becoming a Jedi to buying a starship to being a spy, whatever, please let me know as soon as possible so I can work it into the story.

Current Roster:
  • Dwarmin: Scout
  • SeriousConcentrate: Fringer
  • Taricus: Soldier
  • Gatleos: Force Adept

I still need Yoink's backstory and sheet, or confirmation he isn't playing.  I still need LordBucket's final sheet.  Once I have everyone's confirmed character info, I will send out PMs/emails containing a small backstory that bridges the gap between what you wrote for your character and where the party is today, detailing how you got to where you are.

I was going to join this, but I'm in a different timezone.

Completely coincidentally, I spent a few hours today reading Star Wars d20 books. For the first time. Oh, the coincidences.

You're 6 foot 3 and weigh 718 pounds? If that's a "medium but rather thin build" for a Trandoshan, I don't think I want to know what the stockier ones are like.

  • It's daylight savings today. Who among us doesn't observe it? We probably don't want a few people forgetting and showing up an hour late.
  • Maybe we should test everyone's connection through Maptools to make sure we won't have to postpone the first session by a week, just because someone can't connect tomorrow?

Well, the game starts at 9 AM CST, which shouldn't change regardless of whether or not an individual observes daylight savings time (I'm assuming if you live outside the Central Standard Time Zone, you'll be double-checking online what time it is there anyway).

Right. So, then it should be starting... about 17 hours, 32 minutes from now. That sound about right?

And do you plan on having a connection test? I'm bringing this up because the last game I tried to join through Maptools got postponed and eventually died because of connection issues.

Yeah, We'll need to see if the server actually works. I could host it if it's b86 though (b87 happens to just hate me when it comes to hosting :/)

I would like a server check, too; during Trail's End yesterday I got DC'd repeatedly (and I mean at least fifty times across the entirety; we played for several hours) and I'd like to see if that's going to keep happening or what.

I'm interested in this, being Star Wars and at a decent European time and all. The OP said there was still spots open, I hope that is the case? I have no previous experience with the d20 system though, but I hope that's okay.

It's fairly easy to learn.  I'e link to the rulebook.  If you have a character ready by 14 hours from this post  you'll be welcome to play in the first session.  Otherwise, you'll have to wait until next week.


Unfortunately, minutes after I read the last post, my primary computer is going through a startup repair loop.  I'll be able to use another computer by the time we start, but I can't run connection tests yet as a result.

My internet decided today was the best day to stop working, so don't wait up for me if I don't show up right away for the session. Hopefully I'll be able to make it.
