HOW IT WORKS

 I continue to edit this first post with additional content, but that alone would make for a powerfully lame forum game. That's where you come in doods! Reply with suggestions for what the protagonist should do next. It's that simple!

IT BEGINS!

Nitam Kodor, a perilous realm fraught with turmoil. Where those blessed few of steady heart and strong arm stand vigilant against sinister and shadowy forces. Men such as these, against all odds have forged a fragile peace between the two most powerful kingdoms, purchased through blood and sacrifice. The Keepers of the West and the savage Nords to the North have put aside a feud from time immemorial, none can say for how long. Something-something....THE LANDS CALL OUT FOR A HERO!

A champion of the lesser folk. Possessed of Strength, valor and an unoffendable dignity. Banishing all that is evil and foul from the land merely to humbly bask in the adoration of his peers. Thaddeus P. Thatchplover is one such man, a master of the gentlemanly pursuits of Tea and Pugilism. Despite his modest breeding he is destined for greatness. THIS IS NOT HIS STORY!


There you are! Get a look at you and your bad self, rocking that garrish sweater like it's Boss. That snail doesn't seem terribly impressed, and I think that bird is guning for you. Obviously they have no idea who their dealing with, so why don't you fill them in? WHAT IS THY NAME?

With a bit of fancy footwork you proudly direct the attention of certain gastropods and hollow boned holligans to your fancy signmanship. And there is a long awkward pause as they come to terms with their illiteracy. "Poestan Tauwatch!" You blurt out, quietly admiting that you may have overdone it with 'palace'.


As the snail draws back into his shell and you are left in the company of the avian's steely glower a sudden realization dawns on you. You are so desperately alone that you've begun striking up conversation with wildlife, and even -they- want no part in it. You are the only goblin living anywhere near the hamlet of Kettlefrog. This epiphany profoundly saddens you.


Thankfully your crippling hunger wrests you from the grip of personal crisis. You pretty much live on the outskirts, so you could just scrounge around for something to eat. Then again you've been meaning to find some measure of employment, so you might be able to kill two birds with one stone. You carefully weigh your options.

DOMINATE WILDLIFE

Maybe it's your inately evil nature talking, but you can't seem to shake an urge to assert dominance over the local wildlife. Initially you're apprehensive about eating something that knows your name, but the promise of snot-like snail flesh is all the motivation you need.


You slowly come to realize -why- snails can afford to be so slow and squishy. You gnaw, bash, stomp and squeeze at the seemingly impervious outer shell, only to have your efforts turned aside. You are just about to give up on the gloating gastropod and scrounge in the dirt for worms when you spy that loathsome bird. He's laughing at you, laughing with his eyes!


With a prayer to the powers that be you let loose the snails of war with all the strength your noodly goblin arms can muster. Taking a moment to suspend your disbeleif when the spinning shell strikes true. You'd like to feel proud, but something in the pit of your stomach tells you that was as much a victory for the snail as anyone. Writing it off as a tie and with a varitable feast of raw bird flesh you set off for Kettlefrog.


Barely an hour passes as you follow the well trodden dirt road to the bustling little hamlet with a bewildering name. You're almost taken aback by just how lively everyone is, too busy with chores and farmwork to take notice of you. Eagerly you decide to...
