World Gen and Dragons
« on: March 05, 2012, 02:16:01 pm »

Is there a way to encourage more of the megabeasts to be dragons during worldgen other than just continually regenning and checking? I've been wanting to try a fort where I breed the things but I always seem to get various other beasties. Also does embarking in the same region as a beast's lair cause it to arrive at your fort sooner?

Thanks!

Dragons specifically I'm not sure. But to increase monsters in general max out cave sizes and greatly increase the cave numbers. This will ensure more are around and more survive later into world gen. Meaning better chances of an adult dragon if you going for a normal world gen length ( They need 1000 years to mature unless you mod their raws). But otherwise this should increase alot more monsters in the world.

You can also set the starting megabeast population  to be 10,000 in advanced world gen parameters. Certainly makes more dragons... And everything else :P
