Alright.
Still lots of Digging.

Must.
Make it to the end of the Month.
Without becoming enraged at the FPS and murdering Cognitivedissonance in a berserk fury.

Its been however long it takes to listen to 6 Nickelback songs. And its only been 6 fucking days.
AAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Seven Dwarves are now congragated in one tiny room for no reason. It isnt a Meeting Place. Its nothing.
*sigh*

Now one "Feb" is sitting in the Catapult.
What the fuck is this? The Catapult of Destiny?

A Smoke Cloud drifts by...

I just noticed that little zombie kid, Lor, locked in its room.
I love this place.

Lets try and shove something remotely interesting in here.

Its been 3 days, and Were now 4 Nickelback songs, one Symphony, and one Viking Metal later.

Apparently Asob created a Masterpiece.
Great.
Oh wait, WHERE THE FUCK DID HE DO THAT. Were not engraving ANYTHING, and theres nothing being produced other than stuff at the Magma Forge, and Hes wandering around near the top areas.

Two Hollywood Undead Songs later, and it hasnt even been one day.
Not even one.
Lets try and redirect focus to good news.
The Digging is actually going righteously fast. It just feels noxiously slow because the Game is noxiously slow.
Feel free to just listen to this.
It may end up being more interesting than the whole update.
FYI, I type these updates in Notepad as I go along, so Im just linking what I have playing now :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8wSh_Eryv8

I think the FPS is improving. I may need to quickly go see if CG is alright down there. I mean, Im sure Hes fine. But it pays to be cautious!
Dont worry CG. Your work down there is making awesomeness possible.
Youre integral to My Project!
Its just... A little dangerous.
The work.

15 days into the Month. Nearly 40 minutes. I can do this.
Just... 15 more days, without finding slightly unsavory ways to amuse Myself with the ridiculous amount of time this is taking.
No when.
No want.
No worry.
I had to make that reference.
...Did You get it?
There reference?
That I may or may not be typing about to pass time whilst the Game just... Runs.
I could go watch Youtube Videos, or play a game.
I reckon when I got back, nothing would be different.
In fact, I might.
If nothing happens soon.

Oh I see. Asob was cutting Gems in an area I never knew existed.

Waves of Water wash over the now decaying corpses, littering the Northern Shore.
In the East, bodies mar the beautiful Ocean View.
The Plateau, is a plain of Blood.
The Northern Interior, now sealed and abandoned, is littered with the bodies of Our fallen.
Its walls bathed in Blood.
Its floors streaked with dirt, rot, and flesh.
The Main Hall - Home to two of the Demons which condemn Us to this Life.
This is Markedangels.
On the surface, it is Raining.
Washing away some of the Blood, from the denizen Corpses, littering the Grass.
The Grass is Dry.
The Trees, weak.
Those taken by the Cloud, wandering. Aimlessly.
But not all who Wander are Lost.
The Hall of Cages, now only a distant memory of the opening once carved, which lead to the deaths of many.
The Original Entrance, a memorial to those who died scrambling inside, and the vague memories of Chilton and His Pony.
All this, to try to prevent death.
So many attempts, to make it possible for Travelers to safely stow away inside, out of the humid, dry, rainy World.
Away from the Terrors lurking outside.
A beacon of safety, where Dwarves could live in Harmony, as best They could, without bearing the weight of knowing that They were dooming any Newcomers to suffer and die outside.
One day, They would journey back to the Surface, and try to tame it.
And like all these Doors and Entrances, elaborate and basic, made to facilitate Harmony, with good intentions - It would more or likely end in Destruction.
This is not a valiant War for Victory.
This is making the best out of a horrid situation.
We can only try.
...Except Me. Im building a Project.

Its the 20th.
Not long now.
Not long.
Not long any more.
Not long to go.
I can handle it.

Some Migrants have arrived.
Moment of fucking truth.
Please, Felcis, Label the Levers better next time :D
I have no idea what Outer refers to until I pull the Lever.
Im sure itll be fine.

I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS WORKS.

I worked it out. The Entrance is open, and the Migrants are slowmotion running towards the hole on the Surface.

The wave is gigantic.
But so is the horde of Zombies assaulting any stragglers, and rushing in at the train of incoming Migrants.

The Migrants were just scattered near the Entrance. I expect a ton of stragglers to die.

27th of the Month.
So far, its going alright, despite the casualty count. I ended up panicing and was forced to Bridge-Slam some Migrants A Hallway which I think had Migrants in it, due to about 3 6 Zombies that trailed in behind them came down with Them.
It was beatiful Tragic.
This is functional though, and thats whats important right now.
Some Migrants > No Migrants.

END OF THE MONTH!

What the fuck is this? The Catapult of Destiny?
I lol'ed... xD
Dunno why that happens, Cain should be the only one with Siege Operating activated...

Oh I see. Asob was cutting Gems in an area I never knew existed.
Which one? You mean the main crafting area of the fort, just below the cavern? I did basically everything down there, since the rest of the fort is such a mess...

I have no idea what Outer refers to until I pull the Lever.
Pff, be grateful that I even labeled some levers at all. I've seen worse jokes in other succession games with levers... xD
But I'm glad that my construction kinda works and got some of those zombies. Crush a few more and your framerate will improve. You might want to try chaining a child in the corridor as bait. ;D
How many migrants did manage do get in?

About a dozen, but thats a generous estimate.
The problem is this:
As soon as They arrive, the Zombies swarm at Them.
And the second even one of Them breaks off from the Train, or theres a gap, in come the killers.
I... Have an idea though.
Its all part of the Project.

Ok.
Entrance sealed, Migrants in.
Ill do a headcount in a second.

17 Survivors, its looking like.
That may be about 5 high though, since some are running around outside.
Even 12 is good though.

The FPS is a little better.
Still utter shit, but better.

Also, Cognitive Dissonance work in the Projects is complete. Now its safe for everyone else to do Their job.
AND He survived.
Whee.

Yay. Its Solons turn in the Catapult!
Catapult, Hooray!
Catapult, Hooray!
Catapult, Hooray!

Alot of the Migrants were Children.
Great.

Two people have been missing for a week, it seems.
...Make that Three.
Um... Four.
One of them is Solon. Ast has now replaced Him, in the Catapult.

...Six?!

Zasit, Atir, Ber, Solon, Ducim, and Stukos. All missing for a week now.
I know at least Solon was INSIDE the Fort, and didnt leave.
Noone left - They were burrowed, and I was eyeing the Entrance.

Amost Almoshbesmar. Missing for a week.
Thats Seven.
Mebzuth Legonlogem, Missing for a week.
Thats Eight.

Down in the deeper areas, near the Magma Smelters and Furnaces, there was a piece of Raw Adamantine, lieing on the Ground near some Blood.

The FPS has stopped being quite so insanitising for some reason.
I am happy.

I know some of these guys were just Dwarves on the surface being killed by Zombies.
But the thing is, not all of Them are.
Thats why Im worried.

In the Farming area, I just sighted some Forgotten Beast Ichor I dont remember being there.
Heh.

The Project is coming along nicely.
Nothing worth Screenshotting yet.

Uunneevveennttffuull...

An Elven Caravan has arrived.
Lets see about letting Them in!
Entrance Open. Lets see if They make it.

The Elves are being torn apart.
They MIGHT make it in, if Im really lucky.

I sent out a lone Dalex to fend off the Zombies. Theres was only a few of them who werent clusterfucking the big part of the Caravan, and They ran off to be with Their Horde.
Your a Hero, Champ!

Some of the Caravan has made it in. I herald this a success!
Oh, by the way...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ_aFHjQhx8
DIE!

Six Dead Elves.
Another Caravan, ours.
I was gonna throw a screenie in here, but fuck it, it doesnt amount to much. Just imagine a bloodier Trade Depot and lots of pwitty loot.

Ill quickly mention the seven Zombies hanging around near the entrance. They arent far enough in to get bridged, but Theyre there.
Watching.

Oh, by the way. Congitive Dissonance was killed by an Elf.
You should be so proud, You crossbow wielding fool :D
Same as Twangykid. Fires an Arrow > Gets brained.
Wanna be Redorfed?

END OF THE MONTH!
Im fuckin outta here.
I.e., Break time.

Incidentally, apologies if I sound a bit bitter or reckless. But it took over two hours with barely any pausing to elapse one month. Forgive Me for being a bit edgy :)

Heh. Chilton, I'll be leaving to the periphery on Saturday, so I guess you won't be ready by then.
Then again, I'm starting to feel that I'm going to have to find a way to reach the intahwebbs there, anyway. :D

Also, I smell ninjitsu. :o

You may.

You were with the Militia I had attack the Elves. You fired at one, and the one You fired at pretty much strolled over and beat Your skull in with a Sword, if I recall correctly. It was a slap.
You poor thing.

The missing dwarves may be due to a vampire or entrance through which a forgotten beast got in.

I think I know whats causing the Lag. The surface is littered with blood, bits and pieces, and all kinds of stuff. Im not sure how I plan to fix that without "Clean", which Id rather not use, ever.

If I correctly recall, problems like that tend to have only one solution, and it begins with 'L'. The (almost) universal solvent.

I dont plan on even daring to try it :p
Im experimenting with "hiding" items. It helps slightly, but I havent the nerve to go on until I can at least diminish the effect. It took an hour to get through a quarter of a month.
If this keeps up, Im just gonna designate a ton of digging, then go do something else. I dont want to take forever with this :D
