I guess I could take another look at your case but I'd have to go over some of the circumstances with the other members...
Don't get your hopes up too high though...
Also isn't dead island a pretty shitty game?

To begin with, its nothing like that at all. And the Sewer part only lasted 8 minutes. Its certainly combat heavy at times, but its primarily an RPG. One could argue that Deus Ex is exactly the same as Dead Island, except that Dead Island has more content. In other words, its a matter of how You look at it, and what You want out of it.

I've only played a few hours of it but it has gotten alot of bashing (both from critics and the people I know) for being repetitive.
But afterall everything is comletely subjective :P

Subjective indeed - I can irrefutably call Call of Duty games repetitive, but Theyre still popular. People bashed Dead Island because They wanted a Survival Horror Game. What They got is a more direct approach to Horror that doesnt hide in the shadows, and makes You just as much of a Monster as the supposed Monsters.
Then theres those who complained about the health bars and damage numbers; They can be turned off.
The number of side missions? Avoidable if you choose.
Repetition? I can name alot of games they probably like thatre way more repetetive than one that gives You a pretty big open world, your own choice of how to approach a situation, in terms of where you come in from, how, with what, and what you do, as well as many different sceneries.
Like I say - Its what You want out of the game. If You go in expecting dark shadowy Survival Horror, You wont get it. If You go in expecting an Action Game, You wont get that either. It falls somewere in between Horror, Action, RPG, and Adventure.

Its My Thread, I can damn well derail it!

...But lets stop now. Instead of derailing, Ill just post another Chapter.

Chapter 12: Set Sail

We made it to the Ship.
There are Twenty One of Us, all up.
One of Us is ill.
But We will hold.
Today We set sail West, to the Land of Bagsnubslozgo Kusnath.
A Dwarvern Territory, of a nation that isnt ours.
I can only hope the Corruption has not spread over the Waters.
But I know as well as the next Man, it likely has.

Ok ffs, I give up! You're in the club, you blackmailing bastard :P

Meanwhile I guess it up to the rest of us to keep it going ;)

-Just an hour earlier I had been woken up by the chaos outside of my cabin...
The smell of death and flames had traveled all the way down to the port and the sound of mayhem rang in my ears...
Dwarves in despair came running down the mountain screaming and flailing, many had lost limbs and even more were still burning to death...
Due to the early hour my reaction was slow...the situation was hard to take in...
I grabbed my hat and joined the hoarde of fleeing dwarves.
As I made my ship ready to sail out horrified dwarves came up to it asked for permission to board...
Still not on top of the situation I just mumbled something unhearable and pointed for the hatch to the lower deck.
As I managed to set sail a good 20 dwarves had already joined me...
Many badly hurt, one of them slowly dieing...Remember an old dwarf dressed in white telling me that the poor fellow was sick...
I seem to remember him from a long time ago...but I can't seem to place him...
Not more then a few hundred dwarves managed to escape, I'm guessing most of them are heading towards Copperbacon to start a new settlement...

*A dwarves shouting in the hard wind wakes me up from my thoughts*
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The dwarf was right...a massive thunderstorm came rolling in from the south...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Unfortunatly my old ship doesn't go as fast as the proper tradingships, no before long we saw the other ships rolled over the horizon as the storm came closer...

I took one last look at the fortress where I had lived my entire life...for a moment I could have sworn I saw one of the mountain-walls crumble before te feet of a lone character. A mere moment later the wind hit us hard and I was forced to focus on my steering.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Behind us we left our ancient home, now taken by the horrors of the depth...forever lost

YAY! Slowpoke Club!

Chapter 13: Repent

I have to seek forgiveness.
Somehow.
A Crewman attacked Me.
He was Hungry.
He wanted My Food, and He tried to stab Me with a Knife.
I dont know what happened. It came over Me again. The same Anger that drove Me to do what I did at Dakassazir.
I remember forcing Him to the Floor, and I remember feeling My Fist strike His Skull many times.
He was unrecongnisable when I was done.
I cried, in sorrow. I swore I would not be this Tyrant any more. I would not be this Lunatic.
I can be better. I must be better.
But it is done now.
It was Self Defense. I only took it too far.
I should have known better.
I should have just disarmed Him.
This could have ended so much better.
But alas, I threw His Body overboard.

(1)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

(2)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Well has been Designated. I barely know how Im gonna power this, but Dwarfish Industrialism will make it so!
...Or possibly the next overseer. Ive only done this once before!

Panopticon is being Haunted.
IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!
It hasnt stolen His clothes yet but.
In other news, My Special Room is up and running.

I just had an idea for how to let Migrants in. Thisll take precedence over the Water Thingy for now.

Some Survivors are struggling to fight back along the shoreline.
Waves crash over their heads, as the undead taunt and jeer them, occassionally rushing in and bludgeoning them.
(3)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This Entrance for the Migrants is gonna be... Eh... Fun. In some ways.
Since theres no real way to ensure only Migrants use it.
Speaking of which, more arrived to join the Survivors on the Shore.

This will be very interesting.
(4)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A... FISHYBANG, why the FUCK are You running out there? You were just meant to dig the stairs! Oh for the love of... Gah. Just... Just hurry back dammit.
BLUESPROTO! Oh fuck it. Im sending the Military out there. Too many of us will die if We all just blunder out there without protection, and We need these Migrants.
(5)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Thats the way Soldier, take Your Babies out there as well.
Fucking hell.
Oh, Vietos joining the... Fuck this, everyone back inside, NOW.

Brewster is fighting an abominable zombie child with a Training Spear.
Barely anyone wants to go inside.
Never again.
Never.
Again.

Great. Cains out there too.
And... Oh shit.
We need a Militia, and We need to drive these bastards away. Too many of our idiots swarmed out there, and Im not going to let them die!
(6)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This is going to get bloody.
Poor Brewster.

We should probably start pleading to Armok.
(7)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This is going from bad to worse.
I...
I may need to seal the new entrance.
I really dont want to, but if We get pushed back before I can get everyone back inside, Theyll be inside the Fort.
(8)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
(9)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Fuck this, Im giving everyone 60 seconds to get inside then Im sealing the entrance. This is out of control and spreading like wildfire.

A Smoke Cloud is drifting by. I have to shut the doors. Ill wait as long as I can, but if their numbers are bolstered, Ill have no choice.
Brewster is collapsed by a cliffside, with shattering injuries.
(11)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The Named who are MIA:
Brewster
Bluesproto
Vieto
And about a dozen unnamed.
Im going to try and send a small brigade out to ensure You get safely inside. Youre people are battered, and They *are* struggling to get to the stairs.
And every time They get close, Theyre swarmed by Zombies and retreat. The Zombies are no longer wary of Us.

Someone else has gone berserk now. A Child.

Brewster is being chased along the Cliffs.
Bluesproto and some survivors are along another Shoreline, trying to brave the waves of Zombies streaming into them.
(12)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Vieto is trying to help Brewster.

And Summer is over.

Chapter 14: Arrival

Land is in sight.
I saved the life of a Nobleman, earlier today.
I felt good. I felt so good. I had taken one life upon this boat, before saving another!
This is a fresh start.
A New Beginning.
But still, I am of Sorrow for what I have done in the past.
We have agreed on a name for this Beach We are to land on.
Markedangels.
The Waters of Living.
We will Live.
And I will have a New Life, starting right. Now.

The End.

I didnt.
First I just wanted to make a door. Then a bunch of twats decided to blunder out. Most of them were named, so I didnt want them to die because I didnt think Theyd be so arrogant.
So I sent out the Military.
But then the Military caused ALL the Zombies to congragate on one area. Then THEY started winning, and the Soldiers and Migrants scattered all over the place. Theyre all trying to get inside, but... Eh... :)

I know how to do it better the next time. The problem is, I was just making a Stair. It wasnt meant to be finished yet, but apprently everyone was busting to get out.
The use of Militia ultimately saved ALOT of live :D

Also, that Image is brilliant.
