Shell not being recognized?
« on: March 04, 2012, 07:00:57 pm »

I killed a swamp titan. It did set fire to some dwarves, but that is not the issue here. The first hit it took caused it's shell to fly off in an arc, and explode into Swamp Titan flames.
Now the shell is lying there. "Swamp Titan Shell"
My dwarves are allowed to pick up refuse from outside, and I have a shell stockpile. However, the shell isn't being recognized as a shell, for no one moves it to the stockpile.

Am I overlooking something, or is this a bug?

Maybe the game recognizes it as a dismembered body part instead of a butchered body part?

What material was the titan made out of?

It was composed of Flames. :D

If it's seen as a bodypart, my dwarves should move it to the bodypart stockpile, which isn't full. They don't do that either

Thats probably why. Its made out a material which isn't recognized as being butcherable. This is probably why I find that forgotten beasts made of grime somehow get moved to the leather stockpile.
