Lord Twi the Wise, I hope that I could become the head of the military sciences department.

Granted.

McClay is now Department Head of Military Sciences. He has received the department's land as well as a Keystone for initial pay, and, of course, an office in the University.He may receive more land when administration has more thoroughly measured it.
(Which is to say, if he runs out of space and there's still land unclaimed.)
(Also, yes, I speak to the Divine Emperor in third person when requesting things.)
In addition, Lord Twi the Wise would humbly request of the great Divine Emperor that he be provided a sufficient fund of Keystones to undertake research which might enable more accurate estimation of Keystone locations within the earth, increasing the number of Keystones that can be mined in a certain time. Such techniques would be shared with all throughout the empire, regardless of vassalage.

The University Lands (which are not in the Emperor's area, mind you, but is the seat of the fiefdom of Lord/Superintendent Twi) have been blessed with a forest, a lake, a stream and a hill (EDIT: And a Shimmerweed Forest). The Shimmerweed is in the unclaimed Biology Department lands, and is being considered for study, pending approval from the Divine Emperor. The mountain, and the remaining hill and stream remain unplaced. All faculty members may put in their opinion as to where to place them, of course.

Notes: My university is my university. If there is a royal university, all the better! But they are not the same and should not be confused as such.

I had planned to set aside 20,000 hectares as a temporary reward, used by whichever vassal I feel should have use of it. A more permanent archduke title? Unlikely, but perhaps if a duke truly excels.

Well, that answers the question I should have asked before starting work on a map of my lands. Oh well, I rather like the way my tree sprites came out, and I'll use them later.

Torir Kingdom shall tithe its stored food to the Divine ones, limited and of simple quality though it may be.
I spend 7 keystones on more peasants, and 5 on another farm.

In celebration, each duke may claim a land upgrade of their choice.
