Changing tile sets without the use of LNP
« on: March 04, 2012, 03:01:44 am »

Figured this would be the best place for this topic.
I'm playing on a mac, and I would like to change my tileset.
I knew how to at one point, but I haven't played in some time and updated DF and it changed my folder.
I tried a few times, to no avail.
Any tips?

Search the mod forum for DF versions with the tilesets installed already and just copy your saves over. Or maybe download LNP install the tileset you want in the LNP DF then copy over the graphics folder to your DF that you are playing, also copy over the graphics folder to your saves raw folders and copy the LNP init graphics section over the graphics section of your DF init. Not 100% sure if this will work but I think it should, would recomend backing your saves up though just incase.

Change all instances of [FONT:_CurrentTileset_] to [FONT:_DesiredTileset_] in data/init/init.txt
or if you're using graphics change [GRAPHICS_FONT:] and [GRAPHICS_FULLFONT:] to the desired sets.

The tileset names are the filenames and extensions as found in data\art.

Hm, have you considered murder?  It's either that or letting it go.
