Assigning a certain number of dorfs to a barracks?
« on: March 04, 2012, 12:49:55 am »

Is it possible to assign only a certain number of dorfs to train in a barracks? I wanna have 9 dorfs in the barracks, and only 1 in the danger room.

You could choose that Dwarf to be a preferred Dwarf in the (e)dit (s)chedule orders to guard whatever exploity room you've chosen, or just use normal 3 Dwarf squads

assign all dwarves to train normally in the barracks.

When you want to move one to the danger room, send him via the squad orders command (the same way you set squads to 'move' and 'attack').  There's an option to issue a move order to a single dwarf.  Use that.  Clear the order when his danger room training is done.

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.
