Again, vampires are pretty easy to kill. They mass those thousands of kills through legends mode bugs :/

I didn't even have to kill the vampire I had to kill.
He was just dead on the ground, found by my next adventurer. Although that was obviously a bug, it left me confused for a bit.

actually, afaik thats not really a bug - its just that vamps are in disguise and feed on villagers, and they live for all eternity as long as no adventurer comes and stabs them in the face. so if a vampire lives for, say, 300 years through worldgen, with one dry-sucked villager every month you get 3600 kills. thats not really a bug, the number is just misleading because its more or less the first opportunity for historical figures to amass kills without really being in danger every time.

Incognito, especially if urban, vampires could probably stand to kill less often. Like, it'd happen sometimes, but it'd be by accident. They'd still move from site to site pretty often because of how suspicious they are; people would start feeling tired, sick, or having strange dreams when and only when the vamp's been in town for a few weeks.

My irrelevant two cents.

Sometimes you succeed in your goals and sometimes you and everyone around you is murdered by a gigantic spider.

C'est la vie
