Damn, I'm still leaving in the world where planes are electroninc-free.

Not here... In Canada the internet providers are so bad (due to a situation similar to a monopoly) that the owner of Netflix describes it as a Third World Country.
I live in Montreal currently, and I haven't really issues with Internet (and as said, free wifi on airport bus) though I may be an exception. But phoooone, phone is horribly expensive.

That's pretty amazing. They use no electricity at all on your planes? Is it like bamboo and cloth with hydraulics pumped by pedals? :P

There are a few points at night where playing Simcity 5 would disconnect me because of nightly maintenance.

Actually it would be interesting if internet was an actual issue in Sim City 5 (in game that is) and you can actually give your city internet access.

And then one of the natural disasters should be that crops, cows, sheep, and chickens start taking over your city.

That's weird, I live in Ottawa and we get pretty good internet here. I guess it does go down every once in a while, usually due to weather or some idiot hitting a pole (jerks), but my nets pretty stable. Mind you, i used to live an hour out of the city, and it was spottier out there.
Also, always go 3rd party, unlimitied bandwidth ho!

But I digress, bought this, actually looking forward to it.

So I returned to the city that I was having problems with the supply chain(total of about 50 tons of alloy went poof because of multiple trade trucks trying to deliver)...apparently city named "not so smart frog" got renamed to "Carouge City"

Im having a massive problem with traffics... i just dont get why... 220k population, i have 2 decked out tramways with tramroutes going pretty much all high demand zone, 3 full intercity bus, multiple parking stop, countless bus stop, 2 decked out citybus ( those that move outside ), 3 train stop yet im paralysed.....

And today i encountered a weird bug, there is so much traffic at one of my interesection that one of my tramway smply start turning to stop forever mid turn, basicly clogging the whole interesction for all tramways.... Im on B12V2 region if somebody can take a look. Quebec is the city name.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Unless a law comes in, all games will be online only because gamers suck.
?
Could you explain that one to me.

Yeah, if real, that is the question. I just found it amusing myself. Indeed a screwup if it was real.

The market only adjusts if people are willing to not pay into a bad practice such as not buying the food of a company that consistantly gives poor quality food.

When the market doesn't self-regulate then laws are passed to force this regulation.

Since the market has proven that it cannot regulate against Online Only games or games that are released with terrible glitches that don't entirely destroy the game... Then it will only be fixed if a third party steps in.

In the strictness sense, it counts as a loss of sales to hand it out for free.

Not quite if the consumers don't intend to buy another EA game.

No, the 'intent' doesunt matter form an account point of view, from the strict business point of view.

And that 'intent' is such a bull shit framing anywhere.

It's only a loss if the alternative was a gain. If your choice is "either I don't give the players a game, in which case 1% or less of them will buy it, or I give them all a game for free", then the cost of the second choice is that you've lost a number of sales equal to 1% of the people who receive the free game.

Yeah given how this game works it seems like intersections are only there to mess you up.
