Did Azthor PM you his turn, or are we still waiting on him?

Still waiting.

Wait a minute. Was that battering ram cost-free when Azthor built it? Because I just noticed that I apparently forgot to give it a cost when I added it to the game.

Okay, I've updated the game files, and made some tweaks here and there. Stone walls are stronger, catapults are in (requiring an engineer's guild to build), stables cost horses instead of stone, and, most significantly, I've tweaked money income. Cities now produce only one money for every two population (rounded down), and markets and banks are twice as effective. Oh, and I've added aqueducts, which are required to grow a city to size 6.

Also, the game is now loading the rules and such from an external XML file. You can check it out here, if you like.

What, I built a battering ram? Are you sure it is not a spearman?

Er, sorry, not Azthor, Quinnr.

Stables cost horses instead of stone
This ... changes things significantly.

I'm not giving up, but I no longer believe that I can win decisively against Azthor before Quinnr gets around to stabbing me unless I get some lucky combat rolls.

Right, Nirur's plans. I'll let you trade a stone for two horses if you want.

I'll take it.

Still need Azthor's turn, though.

Nirur, you are too full of yourself if you believed you could attain a decisive victory in such a short time, I wasn't playing around when I said I'd take you down with me even if it meant handing Quinnr the victory on a plate. I was quite surprised when you decided to wage war on me as early as you did, for, at that stage, there was far more for you to lose than gain... In fact, even if you do attain a decisive victory, you'd still be knee deep in trouble, as you wouldn't have enough troops to simultaneously annex me and defend yourself from Quinnr.

As I don't have much to win from the war either, hence, I may be willing to strike a truce involving border demilitarization, but should you decline the offer, only total war, with you being attacked from two fronts, remains. I will have my turn up when as soon as I have an answer.1

On a side note, does a blacksmith unlock advanced units globally or is the production restricted to the city in which it was built? Also, the game still won't tell me if I use more labor than I have availiable.

Did I forget to fix that again? Cripes. I know exactly what's causing it, and it's such an easy fix, too.
Buildings only unlock new units in the city in which they are built.

Unfortunately, this path still offers me the greatest chance of victory, for two reasons. One, both of you would rather attack me than each other: Not only is the border you will share with Quinnr is worth notably less than the border either of you share with me, but I chose the path of an aggressor this game, and aggressors tend to get thrashed before others. Two, my empire is the most prepared for war, if not by much. Ten turns from now, I won't have even that advantage.

I'll explain my plans for a possible decisive victory later, if you're still interested.
