Calming down, or clamming up?
Make a nice gold mirror and polish it.
A gold mirror is not the mirror we know, but rather a plate where you fill water and use -that- as a mirror.
You order the forging of a shallow dish, which is then filled with water and used as a mirror. People gather around in awe of their own reflections for a little bit. Unfortunately, children are children, and a gang of children playing tag bump the bowl and cause the reflection to disappear. They are punished, but not severely.
Tell some of the wise men to collaborate with the hunters and figure out better hunting tech and techniques. Snares, bait, flushing out, that kind of thing. We need bigger hauls.
You set your wise men to TRAPPING. TRAPPINg will effect both hunting and fishing, as techniques can be used for both in this basic level.
If we are going to research anything before we finish metel smithing lets research irragtion, those farming improvements would provide us with more food than any hunting improvement could ever dream of.
Your tribe's religion as it stands is unorganized and not well adhered to. Are you sure you wish to take the mantle of HIGH PRIEST upon yourself?
Not after hearin most people don't beleive in Moa Moa, missed that first time round.
You decide to not become the high priest, and instead keep the government non-secular.
You lack the wise men to reasearch anything else. You can recruit more from the population, or allow your current wise men to gain experience, which means they will research faster.
Maldevious, you sneaky and evil ninja.
Start building a court/meeting hall/throne room.
To help with the rampant unemployment, you set a group of tribesmen to become construction workers, and set them about building a palace out of stone. The plan is complex and the palace is large, but the structure will be beautiful when completed and your people will be in awe.
MEGAPROJECT: ROYAL PALACEIt was mentioned before that unemployment was an issue in the tribe, they didn't have enough jobs to do. Unless we have already discovered some mineral deposits, which I don't believe is the case, have all the unemployed people begin farming the bushs. Also how long is our turn? the scouting team will be back in 3 months, who many turns is that? Also can we get some info on exactly how many people are at our disposal so we can properly allocate them.
There are still unemployed tribesmen, which you put about farming the new bushes. As farmers, they lack an immediate bonus, but your food production should skyrocket by next turn.
Your scouts have returned Your scouts return with startling news; a beast was seen with a spear protruding from it! the look of the spear seemed to suggest it was from your tribe.
The land to the north appears to be even more fertile than previously thought; the trial bushes grew quickly, and the scouts intend to return to see if the harvest is more bountiful. The grass growing there is also edible, although it is far too much work to eat the seeds from each individual stem. One man attempted strpiing groups of stalks of their seeds and eating them at once. It was declared a filling and wholesome treat, and the scouts have brought back great bags of grass-seed for their chieftan. IT does indeed taste great, although a little dry. The scouts report great fields of the stuff on the northern landmass.
They also report that they saw the smoke from a campfire, but it was coming from the northeast, not the south. A perplexing issue indeed, for your tribe has long been alone. They ask you to send a expidition across the sea to investigate.
The harvest was good this year.
The people seem happy.
Many children were born this year.
Wheat discovered!Frequent storms have left the ground muddy.
The moon has a shadow upon it. Your people are frightened.
PALACE COMPLETE IN FOUR TURNS. Your people grow sick and request a witchdoctor.
