I believe I'm running 34.02
Anyway, so I seem to be having a number of problems with healthcare right now.
Situation: I have a hospital zone, furnished with beds, tables, traction benches and chests. Well stocked with all hospital-related items. I have a chief medical officer and, although it isn't in his list of requirements, he has his own office as do all nobles. I have a team of around half a dozen dwarves whose only labours are medical. No hauling, no cleaning the fortress, just recovering, feeding, cleaning and treating patients. All dwarves also have recovering and feeding active so if even one is idle, there is always someone who CAN get injured dwarves to a hospital, and always medical dwarves available to work.
1- Injured dwarf lies dying on the spot he was injured. Loads of dwarves around him, loads idle. Dwarf does not get recovered, is totally ignored, dies of thirst.
Can be resolved by putting a 1-tile wide hospital zone under the dwarf, who then gets carried to the larger zone with beds, but this is awkward when you have half a dozen dwarves lying injured from an ambush.
2- Injured dwarf is recovered to a hospital where he is promptly ignored and dies of dehydration. Dwarf is in a bed, and may or may not have had some treatment up until that point. Job screen indicates no dwarf is preparing to perform any other medical tests on him, such as diagnosis, despite existence of idle medical dwarves.
Can be resolved by removing the bed he is in. Once dwarf is carried to a new bed, he receives medical treatment and then water and food.
I couldn't find anything for DF2012 about this in the bug tracker, but wanted to make sure I'm not messing up something stupid before I report it.
