The World Without Death

This has completely changed my opinion of necromancers.  They are futurists trying to bring about a utopian paradise where everyone can live forever!

"Quite cheerful."

Might just be a comedy :P

Or a book looking at the consequences of a world without death, viewed in a parodical scope?

I dunno, to me it sounds rather ominous.  I mean, what would be the best way to assure a world where nobody dies ever again?  A world in which nobody is alive in the first place.  And the dude is a necromancer.

The teasing he got from being called "Bakecakes" all the time is what drove him to discover the secrets of life and death in the first place.

I don't understand, though that is about right with anything DF related.
I just hope he dies the same death that all dwarfs deserve: liver disease.

I'm assuming the necromancer thought he was writing a horror story.

This is what happens when Pinkie Pie becomes a necromancer.

And immortality doesn't terrify you?

Heh, you can't win in that scenario. Death is terrifying. But immortality is even worse of a curse due to all the possible ramifications.

That Necromancer proposes something that would best be locked up in the very depth's of hell itself and out of dwarf hand's.

*The book falls into hell, a demon spends 100 years learning to read and mastering the arts told of in the book.  Dwarves poke a hole into hell and he flies out, he goes to the highest peak and shouts the incantation.  All dead rise up and live again, everyone immediately heals and will now live forever.*

Demon:  "Now chaos can consume the world, I have fulfilled my purpose!" *insert evil laugh*

Somehow, I see that happening. Except, the demon running into a giant bark scorpion, or a thrall of some kind. And then spending the rest of eternity being beaten with a shoe. Cause, this, is, DWARF FORTRESS!
