Yea, it is defiantly looking like a how to guide on side scroller weapons, assuming you want linear progression. In some ways the combat system is what I am looking for, but it doesn't feel tactical enough, still, a hybrid of the two should be rewarding.

I am more familiar with Dawn of Sorrow, the sequel to Aria of Sorrow, but from what I remember they are fairly similar. Good games if a little too easy. They do have a lot of interesting weapons.

Been a little held up, but got some more work done on the overworld, trying to get it to work as described in this article

The gates are going... Interestingly.
It's been a long while since I did any larger programming projects and I often wondered how easy it might be to implement some of those ideas. Is it proving troubling to find them in the first place or something else? I really need to get back into programming, might have to look into Python as I keep being sung it's praises.

Dwarf Fortress: The only game where people will hold a logical discussion about why dwarves are putting on clothes.
OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.
