>Go to haul asteroid
>Don't have spacesuit in hauling kit
>mfw I have to return to outreach to get one
>Acquire kit
>Go to haul asteroid
>Successfully set up anchors/lines
>go to set up final anchor
>[ANCHOR]
>"I don't understand that."
>Ship can't haul asteroids
>mfw ultimate rage
>have to manually disconnect all the anchors and return to Outreach in shame

More trash collection for me then, I guess.
God-fucking-damnit, game.

I don't play very much, I can let someone borrow my Freighter (25 million credit ship used for trading)
The only condition is we have to trade links, you always have to park it at outreach when you log off, and you have to give me a percentage of what you make with it, (maybe 1% or less)
who wants it?

Currently, there's a CTN invasion going on.

I know because my flight control scanner is going completely fucking haywire reporting all of the shot exchanges between ships while I hide in my spaceport-side asteroid hauler.

An example of what my FCS is bleating into my ear:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Imagine that, only peppered with GenComm talk about the CTN.

Also, I can see one Rowan Sliph on the character list.

Try 'options gag' to trim down all the spam.

I am always online! While, a bit less, but for the first day of my newbieness I was on nearly 24 hours.

I'd help out, but I'm not too fond of getting my ass beat by large amounts of better-equipped military ships.
I suppose I could use my FCS to tell people where the ships are.

Speaking of which, 5 more inbound in sector 1.

Also if you stop by the Outreach landing bay, I can link communicators with you. I am a neverending barrel of info about-
3 more inbound in Sec13, 4 more in Sec2.

Ten more in Sec19.

5 more in sec12. Holy shit, they will never stop coming.
10 more in sec8. Are these attacks getting BIGGER?

EDIT: I now have a metafreq communicator. Give me a frequency.

7 more in sec17, 10 in sec27. aaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA LOTS OF THEM

Keep the metagaming rules in mind ;)

500 is the official unofficial OOC frequency.

And the idea is that you act as a gunner on a better equipped ship, rather than take your cargo hauler out and shoot at things with it.

ahaha I started playing literally yesterday afternoon
I can't shoot things yet. I can barely haul asteroids without getting lost 500 sectors from the nearest hauling base. (True story. Started hauling an asteroid outside sector 16, all bases 500+ sectors away. Almost got lost, was not a good feeling when [FTL 16] did nothing.)

Also I don't want to talk in GenComms because hurf durf newbies.
And I'm willing to bet nobody will give me access to a gunner position because of aforementioned newbie status.

omnomnom doubleposting for the loss.

I still have N-tag, but I have gunned a bunch of missions, and ran a couple. As long as you know how to do it it isn't that hard to find someone who will let you, especially in the larger ships.

HELP COMBAT
It isn't that hard, really. Just focus at a ship name, aim at the coords, and fire!
