Mining is easy money, and you only need 500k credits to do a mining expodition,
First expodition took me about 30 min and I got 7 million credits from it, second one took about 20 min and got me about 9 million.

Help mining.

Basically, go to a mining depot ("map mini"), START, then walk around, GET DROID FROM PLAT, USE DROID. You can use multiple droids at once, but make sure they all end up back in the platform once full.

Here's a better Mining tut,

Ok, so mining can be done at any planet that has a mining facility, to find the mining facility type "map mining" or map mini as Quinnr said if you want to save 3 seconds by not typing 2 letters.
once you get there type START, this starts your mining expedition, it cost 500,000 to rent the mining drones / pay for any damage you might do to them. once you're down in the mines a floating platform with all the mining drones will follow you around, use "get drone" or get "drone from platform" to get on from the platform, and then "use drone" to let the drone scan the area, if it finds materials it can mine it will start mining, let it do its job / move on to the next area, take another drone from the platform and set it up.  If it doesn't find anything it returns to your hand, set up all the drones digging and let them dig for a little while, then pick them all up and put them back on the platform, with "get drone" and "put drone on platform"   You can move further down the mine and re deploy the drones to mine more,  use "look drone" to see if the drone is still working / how full it is.   Once you're done put all the drones back on the floating platform and return to the entrance to the mine.   I don't remember the command for leaveing, it's like "enter transport" or something like that.  this will send you back to the space station, once you get back there you will be paid for how much material you got the drones to mine.

don't get lost in the mine, which is something that is very easy to do.

I have one thing to say about the game: Jeez, space-flight is complicated!

So many reboots of Star Conquest. When is someone going to reboot GalaxyWeb? It was a billion times better and I miss it so bad.

On-topic, it's been a while since I touched Miriani. Does Miriani and Star Conquest: Catalyst diverge any these days? Different in any real way?

It's not crazy bad..just the numpad to move, with + and - for directions. I find using the coords over the map is helpful at times.

Also, admins here are excellent. I posted in suggestions asking for an alternative to the numpad, and they had WASD controls within a day!

There is a planet (ask in game) that sells a device known as Lore Computer that will let you search and find where any item in the game is sold.

One of the things I meant by 'poor presentation' in my first post. And that everything you look at is "unremarkable".
