I've been having some difficulty building roads, farms, and similar outside structures of late. I can set the plants to gather and the trees to be chopped, but in both cases, plants/trees that aren't yet ready to be chopped/picked aren't removed yet still block construction.

Is there a way to go scorched earth in clearing outside squares, or at least a way to purposefully gather young plants?

saplings didn't block construction last version and I don't think they do this version either.

Shrubs are always pickable if you can see them

you can 'smooth' boulders and such to build over them, the same way you smooth your fort.

I don't know what else would block construction.
