You pay government money to me in exchange for me making stuff at a cheap price.

So you could subsidize my airplanes, freeing up money to put into R&D and research military weapons.
I, on the other hand, get an upper hand on the competition, in exchange for committing money to research.
Why do I get said advantage? Because I get money from the government, meaning I can afford to sell stuff cheaper!

Even the households benefit, because they get cheap air travel.

EDIT : Clarify - You say that you'll give me X amount of money per plane, or X % per plane, up to a limit of X.

Sure Sky, I'll subsidize

To do this you need to raise taxes.

Corporate tax(on all companys profits)
or
Personal tax (on all workers wages)
or
A mixture of both?

Noted.

You wont see the benefit of this until next turn, but thats fine as you wont need to/be able to begin paying subsidy until next turn.
It is based on workers and companys incomes, so you wont know how much that will raise yet (due to few players joined yet).

Also if two people want to be the government, after 4 turns i'll hold an election. Companys and citizens can vote.

How many working family members do I have? My choice?  Could I split them up between companies as is life?  Not that it matters for my guy cause I'm a bachelor to cut down on personal costs.

No sorry, you count as 1 worker/unit of workers(for simplicity). You cannot send your kids into the coal mines.  :P

Would dating and marrying "purchasing" a wife give me another money maker?

No. Wives always produce a net loss. Only in game terms of course.  :P

A wife would go in your inventory, and cost money from a diamond company id imagine. She would also have upkeep.
But hey, its the prestige that counts.  :P

Hey, mcclay, you should have household income tax as 25% and corporate tax at 25%.

5% is waaaaaaaaay too low. Even the American federal government has higher tax then that :P

Honestly, I've no idea whats a reasonable level at this point. I'll be curious to see if the government is a 3rd world begger or a red square wall street tycoon  :P

Btw, the government doesnt have to listen to these corporate shitbags. They have no power over you whatsoever, directly anyway.
