How do you find a Demon Prisoner in a big, human city?

How do you do that?

I'm feeling kinda Assassins' Creed right now, but I want to kill all the Demons and beasts of my world.
There's only one left: a Demon Prisoner, captured by a human civ.

I can manage to find him.. the town is too big, and he's not in the dungeons, not in the catacombs, not in the keep (and not in the church).
I had to kill another Demon Prisoner, but he was in a small hamlet, didn't take long to find.

The question is, how do you find a specific monster/person in a city? Door by door?

The funny thing is that this is the last thing I want to kill in my world, then I can retire my adventurer and try the DF2012 Fortress mode.

Actually I killed him and threw his corpse into a volcano.
