I suck at crawl, so I won't be playing. I'll watch some games though.
Um, if you say so... I think if you did play you might be the best player.
Ok, so the tournament has started and some people have already won in about the time it takes me to choose my species and class..
I've put vogonpoet in my team ahead of the two players who say they won't have much time. We could change that later if we wanted, though really it's not like it matters about having all the best players in the same team.
I'll call the team Bay 12 Forgotten Beasts unless there are any objections.
Other team captains and members can decide on their team names; maybe Penguinofhonor would like to be the captain of the third team?
Edit: here is the information from the tournament page about how to form and join teams.
Participants in the tournament may form clans of six or fewer players. If you wish to be a member of a clan, you need to add a line to the top of your CAO or CDO 0.10 rcfile like this:
# TEAMCAPTAIN nameofcaptain
This should be the very first line of your rcfile, with no blank lines or comments appearing before this line. The # is important to make sure Crawl doesn't try to parse the team data as an option.
The team captain must have the name of her team and the other team members in her CAO or CDO 0.10 rcfile, like this:
# TEAMNAME nameofteam
# TEAMMEMBERS player1 player2 player3 player4 player5
Again, these lines should be the very first two lines in the team captain's rcfile, with no blank lines or anything else appearing before these lines.
Note: The team captain should not include a TEAMCAPTAIN line in her rcfile.
New this tournament: clan membership lines can be added to either your crawl.akrasiac.org 0.10 rcfile or your crawl.develz.org 0.10 rcfile. If you add clan membership lines to both rcfiles, then the one on crawl.akrasiac.org will take precedence.
Clan names must contain only alphanumeric characters, underscores, and hyphens. Once a player's username is in the captain's rcfile and the captain's username is in the player's rcfile and our script checks for updates (once every four hours), the players will be in the same clan.
Clans may be changed by adding or removing players at any time until 23:00 UTC on March 3, after which clans will be effectively frozen.
