Evil rain and mysts
« on: February 23, 2012, 05:22:55 am »

One question... It's possible to find evil rains or mysts in the adventure mode? Where are located? Around all the world or only in evil biomes? There's any form to locate in the map?

ye what nikow said, they are only in evil biomes, you can find them in adventure mode but they seem to be less common that way.

300 human/elf/dwarf/goblin/kobold bodies 20 random animal/fish/bird bodies and 3 dragon bodies all in one backpack. fun stuff.

Been trying to get turned into a husk but no luck at all. I keep finding clouds that seemingly do nothing.

Is this a bug or something? I know not all of them husk you but these give no symptoms at all.

You sure they just don't make you unconscious or something? Maybe you're fully covered so the mists do nothing?

They are fully interactable, and you can be huskafied and go on husky rampages (and if you get covered in the dust and it doesnt wash off I think you can even husk other people).

Sadly whenever I try I'm greeted by instakill mists instead.  ::)

As my adventurer was heading to a necromancer tower, he blindly stumbled through some evil mist, pretty much instantly this made him a mist zombie. Aside from being unable to speak to normal dorfs/elves/humans (some lycanthropes and mummies would talk to me) this was the best thing that ever happened to him

I had one adventurer get husked (walked into a cloud of eerie dust). Here's the rundown as far as I know.

Pros:
--No longer need eyes to see, brains to live, nerves to move
--No longer need to eat, sleep, breathe, rest
--Increased resistance to damage (can leap multiple z-levels without taking damage)

Cons:
--No increase in stats (vampires get doubled stats)
--Nerf to speed (I went from 1600 to 1200)
--Will no longer heal damage
--All living creatures become hostile
--Can still be disabled, so sometimes you end up as a torso with a head being ineffectually poked to death by peasants. It can take HOURS.
