As Alain stood upon the wooden platform, he looked out over the amassed crowd.  Taking a deep breath, he collected his thoughts.  Although he hated public speaking, he knew it must be done.
"Good people, listen to me.  As you all know, the elders, the wisest of our tribe, have chosen me to lead our people, in accordence to the will of the gods.  It is true that change is coming.  For as long as we can remember, we wandered the lands.  But, the gods wish our people greatness, and I believe we cannot achieve glory in this way.  We must live here, and build.  We will bend the land to our will, rather than bending to it.  We will tame the beast, we will plow the earth, and we will bring glory to our name".  Alain took another deep breath.
"However, this does not mean that we throw away our old life and traditions!  We will still worship the gods, we will still remember our ancestors!  Our beliefs will become stronger than ever!  My people, I will lead us to greatness, if you will only follow me".

>Firmly establish the Caldanian religion, worshiping the four elemental gods
>Begin the construction of a pasture for the Havae Bakar in the southern hex

Belerios did not look heroic. He looked like a bandit, a barbarian. He was tall and well built, but while his strength was extremelly useful for the settlement where he lived, few people liked him. Of course, he was somewhat important - no one wanted to anger Redhand - but he was not charismatic enough to rise as a leader. That was somewhat strange - he was wise, more intelligent than most, and he could lift things that three men could not move, but he was simply unable to speak well in public. His appearance did not help either (even when he tried to be serious, Belerios looked like a cutthroat ready to go on a killing spree).

That explained why he generally worked alone. Last week, he had cut down trees for his people, and now that the settlement needed food, he would find food. Few people would thank him for it, but Belerios did not mind. That was his way.

Koban Grelsson waited impatiently as a small bunch of peasants got their stuff together, ready for his farming expedition to the south. He had little time or inclination for such boring duties, but the lord's word was, well, the lord's word, and grumbling over a boring mission wouldn't be a good example from the lord's enforcer.
He still hadn't had a chance to do anything exciting since being appointed Champion. Not even one lousy adventure! He was determined to do something interesting as these daft peasants went about clearing fields. Exactly what he was still to decide...

>Spend one influence to take a population unit to the south hex and clear it for farming the Shaba' Sho'sheara plant.
>Shout at them to work harder, spending the rest of my influence to motivate them.
>Keep an eye out for daaaangerous stuff.

*Erect a church at the Capital dedicated to Him (+1 influence/turn & Religious Hero Slot; -3 strong wood)
*Incentivate breeding among the population so that His glory may better be spread to the four corners of the world (+0,1 population)
*Show Belerios Redhand the path that He has set before him (One Action: +4 food and +1 feather received from the feathered worms by the cliffs).
*Have an Inn built at the Capital (-2 strong wood; +1 Hero Slot).
*Shoot&Run: motivate the workers responsible for the church's construction (Church construction time reduced by 1 week).

Orders of the King:
-The workers not assigned to building the Great mead hall are to gather the fruits and wood of some some of the finer trees in the forest (Gather HQ Lumber trees.), King Ulfgar himself will oversee the operation to make sure it all runs smoothly. (One pop used, Two influence used)
-A celebration is to be held in the hall, after all work is done.

Continue working the farm.
Spend 2 Influence giving a speech to the workers to hasten the construction of the quarry.
Spend 1 Influence giving a speech to the workers to hasten the construction of the tavern.

if the last two orders won't do anything, I guess just don't use influence this turn.

Koban rallies a bunch of peasants, leaving them to work on the newly-founded farm. Then he shall gather up his boomerang and crappy shell clothing and bung put together a dodgy stable, at Lord Alain's direction, grimacing as mud splatters over his feet.
>Spend 1 influence to use 1 pop working on the farm
>Spend 2 influence to use self-pop to build a stable where Lord Alain Uran wishes
