What do I do for food?
« on: February 22, 2012, 03:07:13 pm »

I can't find any merchants selling food and the more I walk around the hungrier I get.

Advice/help would be appreciated.

Look for honey badgers or other harmless animals and kill and butcher them ;)

1. Equip sharp weapon - your starting dagger will work, but so will a ten foot iron halberd.

2. Stand directly over deceased dingo.

3. Press X and select the option to butcher it.

4. Enjoy the flavors of Australia.

For unlimited drinks, select (e)at and scroll down to the blood coating on your equipment. It's got electrolytes! It's got what adventurers crave. Also, sometimes vampirism.

Never had a bat massacre people with an axe before.
EDIT2: Oh god, the bat has got a title now.

If the item names are not enclosed in dollarsigns (e.g. "$wild strawberries [76]$"), then it's safe to take them.

It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

To solve the food problem I usually "lend" berries from villagers. They sometimes have them stored in bags in their houses and they don't seem to mind at all if you take them.

I just carry the vomit from fallen enemies. Never ran into hunger problems.

Just travel to a river, find some turtles or something, and kill one. Press x to butcher. But beware... the wilds can be very untamed at time. If you see a giant alligator snapping turtle, DO NOT fuck with it. Those things are nasty.
