I'd gladly take you on Tiruin, but I had checked up with the current heros beforehand, so I cannot just pass you ahead of them. Dragor has accepted to take on the Hero Slot, whereas Micelus might take the hole of Religious Hero. Should one of them prefer to wait and join someone else, the slot is yours, that is, should you still want it. I'd advice taking Taricus on his offer.

Also, how do I tell if it's working or not? I'd rather not waste any points if I can help it.

edit- man I would work so much harder on rules and stuff if I wasn't so enamored on getting the world randomization down perfectly.

Weasel,  how much lumber  and how many turns does the Great Hall take to build/is the happiness mead dependant (dwarfish seal of approval)? I might build one depending on the benefits.

Inn's now give happiness, great hall is just an inn, there problem solved.  Seriously I should make some rules instead of redoing the plant stuff.

yeah go ahead, that way at least in this version we have some form of balance, or atleast consistency.
