That's what I was poorly stating.

In that case, does stone have to be prospected or will you immediatly know when you've discovered a tile with it (much as that'd seem illogical)?

If a place has a stone resource you have to prospect it to tell whether it's just dumb rocks or gems. *ITV

Back on the topic of churches, if my population surpasses the total religious building capacity, do I lose the bonus? Or do I get a bonus of 2 for supplying 2 churches to 10 people? Also, do the happiness bonuses across towns stack or is it a global modifier which is lost if not present in all settlements?

Happiness like everything else is town specific, if one town has a church you'll gain +1 influence from their happiness that you can use there, if another town doesn't have it they simply don't give a happiness bonus, just like if you have food in one town and none in another you'd lose influence in the starving town.

Eventually they'll be a standard of living, so if one town gains clothing (leather, cloth, yarn, etc) the other towns would also gain a monthly need for clothing or they would be unhappy and also naked, so it's either there unhappy -1 or you give them what they want/need for a +1.

Lumber usage is related to all structures made of wood in your town, strong wood taking a year for replacement instead of 1 month.  Stone doesn't need to be replace unless the building is damaged.

Roger that. Even more questions: are industries built in the settlements or do they take an whole tile? What is the relation, for example, between clothes and population as far as demand goes; does a unit per town suffice or does it depend on your population?

All of that aside... Is there a population cap for settlements? Otherwise, it might grow so much that we will have to start sending them to their deaths just to cope with the infrastructural costs.

It doesn't take influence nor population for you to do it yourself. You can, however, automotivate yourself with 1 influence for double the output.

There is no limit, they don't even reach city status until they have 64 population.  Industries take up industry space within towns.

Title   Population    Industry
Camp           1            0
Settle"   2         2
Thorp           4         4
Hamlet   8         6
Village   16           8
Town           32          10
City           64+        12

System I'm currently using.

you can't motivate yourself, your esteem is too high.  But your right he doesn't need to use influence to go hunting.

King, it is merely a matter of formality in that case, I just wanted to avoid doing the following:

*Me: motivate my Hero.
*Hero: do what I was going to do with that 1 influence.

King, it is mere fluff in that case, I just wanted to avoid doing the following:

*Me: motivate my Hero.
*Hero: do what I was going to do with that 1 influence.

Rulers can motivate heroes, until they become rulers themselves in which case it doesn't matter cause they lose there hero status.

edit- Musings:  Stables and Kennels can be built in towns and allow you to domesticate animals as mounts and pets (/war animals) respectively.  You do not harvest anything from them though.

Yet another question: up to how far can a Town's influence extend, supposing all tiles are explored? Also, does the CHA influence add to each settlement individually or is it a global pool (I suggest the later)?
