Oh, you don't need to build the camp to harvest it though, it is only necessary for expanding your collection area once you've already covered the tiles surrounding the capital.

Random question: If you have 1 pop unit cut down a tree worth +3 lumber, do you get +3 lumber or just +1?

It will gain all the lumber, as well as any edible bark and root.  Fruit and Leaves must be harvested (For this version of the game at least, next time I'm probably gonna limit plants to only having one thing, trees simply also having wood)

How does domesticating animals work?

That's a pretty good question... how do you think it's done?

Well, I'm thinking of the armadillos right now.  Do they graze like cattle, or do they root for berries, fruits, nuts and stuff?  If they graze, some workers could probably just build some fences around them, to contain them in one area, and try to get them used to being next to people.  If they look for berries and stuff, I guess we can gather a bunch of food and try to feed them to get them used to people.

EDIT: Also, yay, just two more people need to post.

They would probably eat something from a plant native to them.  You'll need to clear cut some land and build a pasture so you can raise a non-diminishing for of meat and eggs.


Also camps cost 1 pop to start (or be a player) and are the start of settlements, so a player can always camp and live out in the wilds, or a pop can be sent to start a camp, be able to harvest from it's surrounding hexs and be dismantled without destroying the hex below it.  Building as settlement, mine, farm, or pasture (or others) would clear the hex of anything harvestable.



-edit yoink are you are are you not using yourself as pop to also cut down trees giving a 1 pop+ influence + another pop of cutting down the tree?

Alright, first, a minor change to my Ruler, as I had said beforehand;

CHA: 3


Shootandrun, while the action is just right, you might want to split it into two actions in the future (1 for you and the other for the citizens, rather than two in one), as that should make Weasel's life easier.

Uhm, what? ??? Basically, I'm leading one 'pop' out to cut trees, and joining in myself... So I guess that's a yes? I count as a whole extra pop?

I'm gonna abstract that so yeah sure, even though it should just be I go cut down trees, gathering people makes it sound like your using population of the town instead of your self as population.

Yes you do, you can also influence people to gather MORE then they would, you using yourself as population doesn't take influence.

It is always lost for a week if you harvest it, when you use 2 pop it is lost for 2 weeks, if you use 1 pop and 1 influence it is gone for 2 weeks.
