I would certainly hope that as a Hero, I get at least some choice in what nation I join.

You can probably choose to wait if there is a but a single nation with an availiable slot, all that really matters is that both the hero and the ruler agree on it and that the adequate infrastructure be present.

Should I start entering data on the wiki for other nations and individuals, or leave that to them?

Okay, I'm back! Sorry guys! So, question: Is the leader and hero included in our population of two? 'Cause that'd be kinda sad...

Ohhh, good! In that case...

>Sidle up to the nearest attractive female.
>Use pickup line: "Hail there sweet thing, you're lookin' at a real, live questing hero!"
>Spend all influence, begin increasing population.

Actually, I'll save this action for next turn. Business before pleasure, after all!

I would apreciate it if you could use one of your influence points to get someone to chop down some Aethorn Sha'shae in the south hex.  It's a huge tree (+3 wood) with edible bark (+1 food)  You can go nuts with population after we get a farm or something set up.
Well, since he is offline, I guess that's allright for now.
Weasel, surely there is stone in the desert and forest.  Ore doesn't just pop up in the middle of dirt and sand.

The actual issue is how incredibly advanced your civilization has to be to efficiently mine ores buried below millions upon millions of tons of sand.

That reminds me.  Is there a limit to the tech we can use?  You said we didn't need to research anything, but that presents a problem.  Gunpowder is very easy for a kingdom to mrake if it knows how, and if I could get enough metal, I could have rifles in less than 20 turns, maybe less than 15.  I'm sure you didn't intend this, but i'd like to get it cleared up.
Yoink, you should post your actions on the game thread.

Hrm, changing my action to something a bit more serious/useful, saving the previous one for next turn. :P

>Koban will listen to the boss, leading the wood-cutting peasants off to, well, cut some wood.
He'll use an influence point to get 'em working, and join in himself.

Will possibly write up some RP to go with this later on, if I have time.
Fakeedit: Wait, what? KoTW said we were s'posed to post actions here...

There is a minor problem with your logic: have you seem saltpetre anywhere? Good luck getting these rifles to fire. We are not technologically restricted, but we sure are limited to what materials we have access to... And chances are we won't be able to prospect for potassium nitrate.

Muskets were no better than a composite bow, their sole advantage was the greatly reduced training time necessary to field a competent soldier: one'd take years learning the hangs of shooting an arrow, whereas crossbows and firearms took but weeks. Gunpowder's early impact derived from the widespread use of artillery, rather than infantry weapons.

People I keep waking up from sleep cause I have dreams of your characters doing something stupid (I don't remember what it was though).

Thatkid's the only person who fixed his post.  You need to fix your post in the IC boards, so I don't have to dig through this thread looking for it.

The only reason I told you to post your actions here first was so I could help you phrase them and tell you if there even legal moves in the first place, AND to prevent a bunch of messed up posts on the IC thread, which you did anyway so I don't see why you're NOW listening to me.

Now my head hurts and I want to go back to sleep.
