Last details on mines: can another worker be placed in an ore mine to mine plain stone? Is there are difference between the different terrains as far as mines go, other than the presence of ores/stone itself?
In the current version ore and stone are not mutual, you can have ore without stone, so no. There is no difference in mine construction between flatlands, hills, and mountains (you can't mine water, not that water has any geological features). However in the next version mountains automatically start with stone as a geological feature, but that doesn't really have much to do with what you asked. Also in this version stone has a rare chance to actually NOT be viable building material (think marble, granite, NOT mudstone or whatever) and instead be gems (fixed in next version, but I added it in so gems have a chance of actually appearing in game)
To put it simple. No you can't mine stone because you don't have the stone resource.
I want to do this:
>Build a temple to the four elemental gods of Caldan.
>Personally set up a farm of Shaba Sho'sheara in the northern hex.
>Set up a pasture in the northwestern hex for the Havae Bakar.
Do I have the resources for all of that?
Also, Yoink, if you would be so kind, could you check out the ore in the forest?

Ruler's cannot use them selves as pop, they do however work as there own military guard.
So you have to pick either the pasture or the farm.
edit- you can set up a church at the same time as founding a religion, rp wise your simply making an ancient religion "official"
