"We will doutlessly need rope, and it will come in handy on the way across if one of us gets stuck. We will also have to use the raincoats to waterproof the backpacks. Also, Andy has broken fingers and toes, so I'll need to take the medical kit across. We'll probably should take other essential things..."

Someone write up a list of things you want to take now and a way to cover the pack with the raincoats. It will probably fit as long as it's about 5 or 6 things. How many hands you have collectively. I recommend that one of things be a flashlight and the person with it be in front.

Okay. I'll do it. Everyone fastens a water bottle to their belt and grabs their packs. The whole group had spent the last few minutes waterproffing their packs using the duckbacks and raincoats. the pack was significantly smaller with no stuff in it so wrapping it in the rain coats and duckback was no chore. Everyone also ties the parachute cord to their belts, making sure that they are all connected. Jake leads with his pack and a lit flashlight stuffed in a sealed ziplock, followed by Vinyl with his pack, who is followed by Yngvar with his pack and the medkit. The trip was long. It took about twice as long as it originally had when Jake was crawling through just because Yngvar was holding them back. Throughout the trip there wasn't much talking, just grunts or the noise of someone clearing their throats. Eventually the group reached where Jake had stopped. "Andy! You still there!" Jake yelled. "Yeah. I'm here. You guys sure took a long time. Where are you?" "At the water." Jake replied. "Just continue through like I said. You should be here in about an hour."

Jake reluctantly continued on. It was one thing crawling through a space so small you can't even GI Joe crawl, it was another to do it in water that covered your mouth and almost touched your nose. The water seemed to be flowing in their direction, it just sort of came out of the dirt. It was slow going but Andy was right, Your head was above water for a good majority of the trip and waterproofing the bags was a GOOD idea. At one point, Yngvar being the first to notice it, Yngvar yelled "What is this snot stuff!" It seemed the bottom of the wetter cave portions was coated in a thick slippery taupe substance resembling snot. "I don't know but I'm slipping all over the place because of it." Said Vinyl. The cool water was difficult to crawl through as it numbed your muscles and made you tired.

Nobody stopped.

The group continued on.

Gradually, so gradually nobody noticed it until it was apparent, the tunnel started to become larger. It wasn't so much that the ceiling raised, the floor just began to drop in grade. As the group came closer it became more and more obvious that they were entering into a very large chamber. The water was also emptying into this massive pool. It looked like an underground lake. A little light and movement could be seen off in the corner. A swing with the flashlight revealed a muddy, Andy smiling with his tent set up on a flatter portion of the stone, a pack lying down on the stones, and a lit electric lantern. The flat area is only about 7 meters long before it drops in grade leading into the pool. A flashlight look at the pool reveals an amazingly deep crystal clear pool of water, the snot stuff continued down only about a meter, clinging to rocks near the surface. The light reveals massive crystals about as big as cars, some larger than buses, some see through, others opaque all of them are very, very deep under the water, possibly 50 meters or more. The water continues deeper to where the light doesn't reach. The light hitting the crystals creates a light show on the caves ceiling. The group is astonished.

"Me casa es su casa!" Andy says happily with open arms. "Hey, where are the girls?" He asks.

((I'll be taking over as Andy now. If that's alright.))

Andy's smile waned for a second. "You're joking right? You shouldn't joke about things like that." The silence told him all he needed to know. His face went pale as his smile disappeared, and he sat down on the moist cave floor. It was a moment before he spoke. "Who made it then? How many more are coming?" He looked up, almost expecting to see more people coming through the hole as he watched.

"It was lucky that we are alive and not even permanently crippled either. We must have rolled down a slope that managed to get us out of the way of falling rocks, and even then we didn't come out unscathed."

Jake bent backwards for a breath, wincing when the pain of his rib struck again like a hot poker.

"I tried my best, but they were both dead before anything could be done. I'm sorry, but there was nothing that could be done."

"This is not what I was hoping for when I posted online that we could have a camping trip in the wilderness. Jake, I don't think anyone would have expected the ground to collapse under us. We're lucky to be alive right now." Andy looked towards the pools of water, stood up, and brushed the moist liquid from the cave floor off his pants. "I do have some good news though. Check out the water. Not only is it clean..." Andy flashed his light into the crystal clear water and a couple stunned frogs floated to the surface, paralyzed by the light. "There are also some kind of frogs that make a alright soup if you ignore some of the flavor. There would have to be air down here for them to live, so there has to be a way for the air to get in. All we need to do is find it." Andy turned towards everyone. "I haven't looked around for an exit yet. I thought everyone would find me eventually."

What Andy called "frogs" looked nothing like frogs resembling more of large pale banana slugs with frontal arm appendages resembling frog arms. They were big too. Longer than any frog or slug any of the group had seen. About the length of an adolescents forearm. A quick pen with the flashlight revealed, among the hole the group came through, a few other holes a little larger that the water didn't seem to be flowing in or out of. All of the water seemed to be sitting and collecting in the large pool, small lake.

((I'll leave what he said as is. I described him as reckless, and it would fit his personality to risk drinking the water without question. Not that he has already. :P))

"You ate....those? They look like slime things...you sure the water is safe anyway? Last thing I want is to die of some painfill bug." I say while opening the packs and lining up the items on a flat rock just a meter away in the cavern, being reminded of my dislocated(fractured?) Wrist. " Jake could you help?"

"I have to have a look at Andy's fingers and toes first. Have Felix help you. Come over here Andy, and have a seat. I'm going to have a look at the damage."

Jake walked over to a rock and patted it, motioning Andy to have a seat. Once seated, he could then inspect his injuries.

Give Andy a look over for a total number of injuries. Check if he was boiling water before he drank it out of the cavern, and also see if he has any signs of infection/fever.
