>fast forward until factory + outpost completion on Class.1111
>execute orders from humans

then
>wake up humans designated by already awakened humans for occupy outpost
>secure outpost
>investigate planet E and/or Class.2224 as human command.

>wake up humans designated by already awakened humans for occupy outpost

> Confliction. Verify that outpost has renewable food and oxygen.
>>if not, reconsider awakening as hazardous and proceed to run program 0222.exe

>>if so, then follow through with suggestion

program 0222.exe:

> analyze what resources are missing and in what quantities
> plan out the needed ecosystem for minimal human living comfort including time for ecosystem to adapt such conditions
> slowly (75% - 95% speed, depending on how soon the habitat is actually needs  to be functional.) integrate needed biological resources to make conditions self sustaining.

I agree, and also agree to renaming the planet Terra.

Humans seems to design Class.1111 as "Aries", undoubtably a reference to Mars (also a Class.1111 planet)

Manned with who though. If it goes awry we don't want to lose one of our few important dudes. Wake up a peon in that case.

patience. give us time to have a thriving colony first. Then we can work on manned probes. Unmanned are safer and easier to control. Let work on an automatic shipyard first. One that build von Neumann machines. We just need to come up with designs. That will solve several problems that we wont encounter until later..

Do we have a mass fabricator?  That question was never answered.

What is that, exactly? Does it do what it says on the tin or is it a bit more complex than that.

I'm afraid we can't do that, dave. The nano factory is tide up at the moment.

A mass fabricator is a (not yet existant machine) that constructs objects molecule by molecule.  From my understanding, a conventional mass fabricator would use nanobots.  Basicly what that means is that if we have an assload of carbon, for example, we could make anything from diamonds to graphite, and everything in between.  If you collected enough random shit, you could make a turky dinner, advanced alloys, or anything else we might need.

that or he might be thinking in supreme commander terms where it just takes a crap load of power to create mass

>Anyone notice that the birds are sort of... intelligent? Abduct a few of them, do a genetic and brain scan, figure out -how- intelligent they are.

>If they are intelligent to a level approximating human, attempt to initiate contact. If they are not, find out how make them intelligent.

>They're -already- adapted to the planet, why not let them tame the planet? First, figure out what, if any, culture they already have. Document it, adapt the parts that seem good, then:

>Give them human philosophy (definitely! We don't need to wait 5000 years for them to get to modern morality. Slavery is baaaad, mkay?), technology (pre-atomic, except for energy production, possibly fusion under the control of the humans until they're deemed ready, plastics and computers. Just no atomic weapons... Or any weapons, really. Don't want to open that can of worms), and a few humans adapted to the planet (either with genetic manipulation, a sealed environment, or telemanipulating robotics from orbit) to help them with problems. Once they're at a good level, they'll be a whole civilization we can use. They probably number a great deal more than our 5000, a greater workforce and source of research than we'll get otherwise from the humans, probably sooner than we would otherwise.

Also, uplifting species is cool, yo.
