He is assuming that since the vamp curses are randomly generated, not all of the will have the same tags, so if the tag tested actually did cause the fort to crumble with only vampires(as some had said happened to them sans modding) then he is positing that not all vamps have that tag, thus some can be run with vamps only. The other possibility is that it was fixed in the .02 release.

i assume the actual curse tag is the same, only the generator flavor text is variable.

Got my first vamp is Non-appearing Nickname is Urist McVampire, do I have to wait till he commits a crime to accuse him? cause He's a ranger ...  And I have no military.


Erm I mean I should wait this out I guess but I dunno what to do with him, at least he doesn't SPARKLE though... sooo.

Okay at the moment I have him in a Burrow far away from the main dwarves BUT how long can he go without blood?   He's currently my Glass-making slave in the desert on the  west side of the map... though he might get meals when other dwarves re-stock  his two stockpiles.  Don't have any booze piles there yet though considering putting some in his "hole" that will be his current residence

Magma is too dorfy for something the gods have abandoned of undorfiness. Death by elves are sufficiently undorfy for the bloodsuckers (unless you plan a vampire fort, which is even dorfier).

I've never observed it to happen. What do you mean "vampires make more vampires?" the only way to become a vampire seems to be to drink the blood of a vampire, surviving a feeding just gets you a dwarf with severe blood loss.
