Seriously, no matter what I eat or drink, it still tells me I'm hungry and thirsty. I may have drunk the blood of a werecreature, but she was still a peasant at the time, and from what I've heard you can't become one from that... Why aren't they sated!?

Have you eaten and drank until you were full? I did that too. I had to travel once or twice and do it again until I was sated, but it worked.

Sometimes even after eating till you are filled up doesn´t satiate your needs.
I had several times when I ate / drank till I was full and still hunger or thirst was displayed.

It doesn´t however (at least in this case) do any harm to you ...
you can continue to travel and often, if you eat / drink something at a later time (when you aren´t filled up anymore) there is a good chance that the hunger/thirst will vanish.

Definitely seems to be more of a bug than a feature, however

If you are starving or dehydrated, you get a debuff that gets worse and worse.

i didn't eat for 3 or 4 days and i had to fast travel 4 times to get my guy full.

It seems like every x time units (I assume half a day) you get 3 (or was it 4?) slots for eating and drinking.
Eat or drink something and one slot is filled.
So, you can either 3 * eat, 3 * drink or any combination in between
(with other words, if you repeatedly fill the slots with eating, you are doomed to die of thirst, as you will always get the message that you are too full, if you try to drink).

Hope this isn´t Toadies last word on the eating/drinking system in adventure mode,
as this somehow doesn´t seem to be realistic

if you travle a space or wait an hr you can eat/drink again but you can only eat or drink 3 things per time you do this. only eat or drink when you need to

This is because the need to eat or drink accumulates over time ...
forget to eat or drink a few times and you have to eat or drink multiple times till your hunger/thirst are satiated

They kill you too after long enough: I think Toady said a month without eating and a week without drinking.
