? I bet you were heart broken when I abandoned that. It must've been lame to have been you. Two years was enough time to heal from the crippling anguish caused by this abandonment. Rip that emotional band-aid off of those wounds and let the squishy adventure flow! I've come to realize that this was really fun, and, moreover, I need to get better at drawing. My laptop is getting fixed right now, and I have to purchase a new tablet pen. Both will probably be done tomorrow, and then the first page up then. If not, that means they DID have to order it, and then it's going to take at least three days upon which you will be entertained by some clay based misadventure. Until then, you can look at this exposition and vote on the race.Pick between the six listed, and remember that you can only pick one.
Normal race stuff- you're going to have a ton of techs. Lots of them. You can have four social skills, unless you're a slime in which case you gain a social slot every other level. Everyone has four essence slots, except for the blob which has 6.
Flans: The most durable race, and the food creators. These guys have a special affinity towards the culinary arts, and use this to their advantage in and out of battle. They can hit for pretty good damage if they get some cooking ingredients, but their base attack power is still pretty good, all though nothing to talk about. Being more solid, flans have to jump instead of pseudopod, leading to mobility problems. They may have cool food based powers, and with catalyst they can rock the battle field, but you better hope you cooked some powercakes for them to regenerate mystical ability, because they burn through it. Flans cook back down to creams.
Ooze: Oozes are quick, being the least solid race, which has some unfortunate implications. They have low health and almost no defense. But, they also have high basic power in attackitude and mystical stuff. They are naturally acid unless combined with something to jump their PH, which wouldn't cost an essence. Oozes usually have jobs behind desks and can't handle much physical labor. They are also the highest demographic for speed sports and racing. They learn a ton of techs, and have the mystical essence and physical power to handle it (but they are still frail, so back row is best). Oozes are also liquid enough to get though most doors and drains and things if they aren't equipped with anything. Oozes become more disgusting with their transformation to sludges.
Jellies: Jellies hit Hard. They have high basic attack and are proficient with most weapons. They have few good armors, and low movement speeds though. And their HP isn't anything to write home about, and they are sort of socially awkward. They can't posses certain social skills unless the word of god dictates this jelly is pretty good with the social stuff. Our resident jelly, Gansta Jelly, has issues with the way he talks and comes off as intimidating. If a jelly has analytical skills, he will read to much into stuff. They oveshoot social abilities, so much so that they roll for socials backwards. They are pretty good with Absorption though, and stick to it pretty well. Jellys become gelatins as time goes on.
Blob: Ah the blob. The blob is average in most areas, without an object absorbed. With something, anything, they will take on that characteristic personality and physical wise. They absorb everything that isn't still kicking, and, if it's in bad shape, they can still take it. Blobs are really average and lackluster until they get their hands on an item to absorb, so you can't say much about them. They have two extra essence slots though and varying social skills on how they do stuff depending on the object. blobs become gels, and their traits are more exemplefied.
Slime: The slime. You've killed thousands, in the name of SquareSoft. If however, you put away that sword and started up a chat or yo-momma jokes, you would get your ass handed to you on a silver platter. Slimes are pretty crappy when it comes to most things combat wise, low HP, crappy attack and basic mysticality. But, what they do have is charisma. And, with charisma comes healing because I made the class trees that way. Slimes also have an ace in the hole: Clang. It costs a little bit to use, but it turns your metal up really fast. Literally. And, speaking of metal, slimes are good with it. Really good. These guys are craftsman through and through. Slimes eventually settle into goos.
Bubble: The most notable advantage of the bubble is that it can fly. And, if they can't reach you, they can't hurt you. Bubbles have really high dodge rolls, and can get anywhere provided they have the time, money, and food. Which is to say they don't need much. They need food to keep the conversion of helium up in their bodies though, and are kind of frail, as they are bubbles. Bubbles are pilots or operators on big machines, and are very adventurous. Bubbles become plasmas.
Squishlenia is the hard to pronounce name of the land of the squishy chronicles. IT's mostly populated by the jiggly races, and a sizeable non-squish monster population. Humans generally avoid the area, thanks to preventative tactics on the bureau of slimes involving rapid use of Clang and Area Trap. There are a few large citys in Squishlenia, although most of the area is covered in caves grassland and it's immense pineapple orchards.
