Just out of interest, what kind of skills does Varnod have at the moment?  I guess a whole lot of spears/dodging/ambushing mainly?

That's how Vanod was able to learn the secrets of Stab and Eat.

Dayum man, if both of us had more time and actually knew eachother I'd probably ask you to teach me how to draw/paint like that. I'm some kind of quasi-artist myself (I have a grand total of three paintings and numerous sketches, some of which have gotten favorable reactions from friends and visiting strangers). The troll picture on page one especially is badass, I've always wanted to draw like that but just didn't have the skill.

Great stroy, amazing that you've survived as far as you have (I'm up to page 11, dunno the final outcome so far), and most adventurers with similar stats and actual equipment end up biting the dust to one overlord with a +iron morningstar+...

The vast majority of adventurers who don't die on the first day just from ambushes between towns, die from a lucky strike from a night creature

Add the [DEATH_ITEM] tag to humans in the raws for this world, and make it a boulder of unique properties with low boiling point, so that if Vanod dies he goes up in a thermonuclear syndrome inducing fireball. To make the syndrome affect anything that moves, don't specify an [AFFECTED_CLASS]

I don't normally approve of modding in such an excellent vanilla playthrough....but this sounds like it's worth it. It'd be even better if you could mod the reaction have Vanod explode into teeth that devour the enemies that killed him.

Or better yet somehow something that slowly engulfs the island in flames. Like a nuclear explosion in slow motion.

Earwig, just going to request that if you are going to let this die/update slowly, please post the seed and parameters.

seconded, story threads are great and all, but its a bit boring once the creator seems to lose interest.
