Military: Repeated Item Storage
« on: February 19, 2012, 10:01:56 pm »

I'm sure I've read about this before, but I can't seem to find anything using the search functions here or on the wiki, so apologies in advance if I'm doubling up a bit, but I'd love to get some pointers on a problem I'm having with my militia.

I have a military squad consisting of two dwarfs. The commander hasn't given me any grief, but the second dwarf is repeatedly running to the weapon stockpile to drop off his axe, then walking away with it still in hand. He'll head over to the dining area or his room and be marked as Soldier (no activity) until it repeats and he runs off to the stockpile to Store Item in Bin. There is no cancellation spam, and there are no alerts indicating that he might be cycling duty status. The squad is set to the default Active/Training alert without adjustment.

I've tried a few different equipment setups to see if that affected anything. Right now he's set to equip a battle axe, and the item he's running around with is his training axe. When I change him over to use a training axe, he manages to put away his training axe, picks up a battle axe, and starts the process over with that.

I'm using Phoebus 34_02_v01. If any other information helps, let me know.

Try setting the uniform to exact match.

That seems to have fixed it. Is there a discussion on this somewhere that I've missed?
