Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Now, disregarding the fact that my mason knows kung-fu, take a look at this picture...

ehm... what's going on here?

(also, the engraver is throwing a tantrum)
(and in case you didn't notice, the hoof went through the wall)

The hoof used ethereal jaunt! O_o

More seriously(?), it must have been hit hard enough to be blasted through said 4 doors...

Dwarf Fortress: Where all it takes is a single tantrum to unlock Ethereal Powers.

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

Are dwarven children just demonic little monkeys, or can all dwarves grasp with their legs when wrestling?

See, that's the thing - I have no idea where the little kid was while all this was going down, but she certainly wasn't in the same room. So maybe she was a demonic monkey-dwarf.

Urist McMason is quietly working in his workshop.
Urist McMason hears commotion down the hall.
Urist McMason shrugs and continues working.
Spatial vortex opens.
The spinning pig hoof strikes Urist McMason in the face, jamming the skull through the brain and tearing the brain!
