I've been told that forest retreats don't physically exist. And in my world it is the age of the elf, they raided a load of human settlements not even the biggest towns only have about 50 people living in them most the town is just abandoned buildings, so I won't find any elves there, I wan't to slaughter some for what they did to the humans and see if it's possible for me to end the age of the elf, where might I find some elves to slaughter? Where does there king/queen reside if they don't have actual settlements?

Unfortunately in the current state this is not possible.  The only way to find elves to kill would be to mod them to live in human-like towns, but that would require a world regen.

They might be citizens in some human towns though.

If you want adventurer-world, it's good idea to fiddle with the geographical setting so that more plains appear. Increase the minimum amount of plain regions, decrease maximum rainfall and drainage.

So it's the age of the elf, elves are the most powerful civilization and I keep finding abandoned villages and 90% abandoned towns that were attacked by elves that don't actualy exist... -.-
