So, I've been told to look for Zostra Groupfight who killed mercilessly a whole town's livestock, how the hell do I find him? The travel map tells me I'm exactly on the same location as him but I don't find him. What, should I start looking in every house and start talking to everyone to see if one's named Zostra Groupfight? Am I missing something?

The thing is, it's a hamlet. No sewers or catacomb here, only a bunch of houses out of nowhere.

Seriously, how do you hunt down vampires? I see everyone boasting about how they've become invincible thanks to a vampire or were curse but they don't tell HOW they did it.

Well if your only goal is to find any given vampire just go to the local keep and accuse the law-giver or nobles hanging out there. Odds are they're a vampire

If you spot somebody flashing blue and holding a bunch of jewlery made of sentient creature bits, its a vampire. Law Givers and Animal Men living peacefully amoung humans have a very high chance of being vampires as well. Make sure you there are a whole bunch of people in the room when you accuse somebody... they will fight the vampire for you.

Werewolfs live in lairs and just look like normal people who want to kill you unless its the full moon.

Just go into every house and accuse everyone of being a vampire (night creature). If they are a 'night creature' they reveal themselves and attack you. If not they say something about you calming down.
To become a vampire you have to drink the blood if a slain vampire. Then drink the blood of a sleeping person (the e key). To become a were creature you have to get bit by a were thing, while in were form, and escape alive.

When trying to find a vampire in a town, try asking people in the town how you can help them.  Usually they ask you to kill the vampire, and give you directions to find them.  If you got a quest to kill the vampire, and that quest lead you to the town, but not the vamp itself, then this is usually what you have to do.

go into all the houses looking for a flashy guy, if you cant find him that way look in the sewers dungeon and catacombs.
