What forum game topic would people be interested in seeing?
« on: February 18, 2012, 04:36:58 pm »

I was just wondering what kind of forum games people like that they don't see enough of here. Not what kind as in suggestion adventures and multiplayer adventures, but what topic as in ninjas and zombies. Any thoughts on the matter?

HARD scifi. (although satisfying my standard for calling something that is damn near impossible)

Interpreting your question literally, the kinds that are not allowed.

Ones that actually have an END and aren't abandoned halfway through.

Hard sci-fi is incredibly difficult to do (I know because I tried and failed), but I would love to see someone else try. Thing is that not many people want to create new races, creatures, or different kinds of ships (flying cities included), which is really the bread and butter of most sci-fi. This is definitely something I want to see someone attempt though.

Just to let everyone know, I have a MLP RTD up, but don't come if you are expecting seriousness.

Also, I wouldn't mind a Renaissance RPG popping up.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

The Godhood games are a nice read, but are require quite a lot of GM input and writing skill. Sadly the last ones died extremely quickly.

The 40K games are always interesting, although they seem to die quickly.

Well, if you're willing to lose a really large chunk of time, you could run a Countries At War game.

Tyranids cannae play C@W. Needs to be a race that actively HOLDS territory.

The Hard Sci-fi, Unlikely to ever be done considering the scale of work needed to create it to an acceptable degree is MUCH higher than soft sci-fi.

What I would like to see if a forum-based Sci-fi RPG.

I like my sci fi, and I prefer stuff on the harder side. So I've been entertaining the idea of running a hard sci fi forum game. However, how hard would you guys want it to be?
