To be fair, treating slaves this poorly was a overall bad move on our part.

They are scum! It isn't our fault they were born lesser breeds!

And to our credit that same malice and bad treatment is what created these brainwashed super soldiers of ours, as well.

Alright, any agreement?  If not, I'll go with the massed force concentration tactic, as rolling logs and using very angry slaves seems like a bad idea, and neither have that many votes.

I say go for it. I don't think anyone will vote for a slave revolt. Although I just want to see an update in our favor really... All I think Thauldor really needs is a lucky lady to blow on our dice.

Things aren't looking well.  You can't pull your men back, but they aren't completely un-maneuverable ( is that a word? ).  Sacrificing your outer line to reinforce your center, you order your troops to start hammering away at the enemy's middle position.

The enemy is caught significantly off guard by this.  Their wave of warriors doesn't exactly collapse, but the feel of the battle is changing.  The enemy is no longer certain of their numbers, with that kill zone you set in the middle of both army's formations.  Many are pausing, wondering if they should pull back, and this hesitation only causes more death on the enemy's side. 

You roar, yes literally roar, with fury, and your men take courage from this.  Unfortunately, this doesn't shatter the enemy's morale, if anything, they grow more defiant.  No matter, your own soldiers are unfazed.  The battle is slowly turning in your favor. 

Estimated casualties:

150ish for your side ( unconfirmed )
350ish for enemy's side ( unconfirmed )

                                                                                                 

I don't calculate maneuvers and battles using normal dice rolls.  I figure a maneuver will work, unless the enemy counters it.  That's what I roll.  I rolled the center attack, the enemy got a lower roll ( barely ) so they did not counter by, say,, flanking your men on the sides.

I see. Well it's good that we are pushing through. Is the enemy formation just a clump? How many (aproximations or frations will do) are in the pit?

We should take any defeated but not slain enemy wariors as slaves, and release the ones that helped us.  After the battle ends of course.

Make sure no men are in the pit, if they are have them retreat to a position just above the pit, place spearmen in front as to gore the enemy in the pit and out of their reach.  place those with swords and axes close behind the spearmen, Close As to cut down any men who make it past the spears. Have the men hold thier ground until the enemy infantry is thinned. Make sure our men don't move into the pit or away from the edge, I want the enemy fighting an uphill battle always.

"We will win this fight! HOOOLD!!"

The men who run from the battle, have their bodies impaled outside of our wall on large wooden spikes. All men who stand their ground or just surrender we give an offer: The sweet release of death by execution (impale those bodies too) or to join our ranks.

We don't have spear men? (I'm not sure what the standard issue for heavy infantry is) Alright, hold the top of the pit then. Yup that's the plan.
