Do rivers and such still "Drain" where they meet the edge of the map? Its a HUGE FPS drain. I fear whats under in the Caverns...

Hrm.  Can an armless dwarf or dwarf with severely damaged, unuseable arms act as chief medical officer?  Obviously he's not going to do any of the work himself, but CMO's basically just create jobs for other doctors to do, right?

They need to diagnose. Not sure if they need to be mobile or have grasping for that, honestly, although I would assume mobility is a factor. Just try it!!

Yes, they do. This isn't an issue in the caverns though as there are no underground rivers, only lakes.

does glass still have missing raws, and are glass trap components still generally useless for killing things that wear clothes?

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

I've have a problem with my shift key, in previous versions holding shift + arrow key would jump 10 or so at a time, however in the latest version [34_04] it's not working anymore. I'm a missing a setting somewhere? Anyone else had this?

Thanks

Send that to the bug tracker with a save?

I'd hope it would be a quickie fix.

(Don't attempt to answer that.  Down that path lies ... well I was going to say madness but you all run towards madness as if it was made from chocolate and puppies.  Just forget I said anything.)

Just for the record, the CMD does not have to be the dwarf who diagnoses patients.  Other dwarves with the Diagnose labor can also do it.

I don't know whether an armless dwarf can perform that labor or not.  I don't have much experience with them.

I had the same thing happen, and although I didn't investigate I think it means a necromancer has taken over that town and using it as a staging area :>

Do captured Elf (+pets) attack captured Goblins if I drop them in an arena? They seem to be hostile to undead but not to wildlife so I'm not sure if they will be hostile versus each other.

Anyone know whats the best way to reclaim and isolate a fortress in a terrifying biome before the former inhabitants come to break the spines of my dwarves?
I've tried proficient hammerdwarves but they don't last too long
